mmr vaccine in grandson
evening everyone. just seeking some advice. My dad has cll, diagnosed in 2018 and still on watch and wait. My dad is my little boys best pal. My little boy has his one year vaccines this week, including the mmr which he then has to avoid my dad because it’s a live vaccine. I hate to keep them apart but

3 years post successful PVI RF Ablation
Had my three year check up, ECG, Holter monitor, PM diagnostic, echo and full bloods. All good. No AFIB since ablation. BP good. PM has many years left. Only meds 15mg zarelto and 40mg micardis. Still have not got back to as much energy as I would like, maybe just getting old.

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
This is my first post. Back in 2019 I had what felt like "flutterings" and breathlessness/dizziness. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia. A 24 hour ecg showed ventricular ectopic beats. An echocardiogram showed mild valve leakages but no obvious cardiomyopathy. I was advised to stop/reduce my caffeine

ECG same 9 months post TAVI as 6 months before?
On Tuesday I had to be taken to Casualty. I was there for only three hours, during which I had an ECG, blood tests and a detailed discussion with a doctor. Her many findings have just appeared on my GP Patient Record, and I've spent half-an-hour deciphering all the medical abbreviations. I was a little

ECG not recording heart blockage
I write this long winded message to raise awareness about ECGs and blood tests not recognising angina. Over the last few months I have had very frequent angina both at rest and in exercise. My medication for a previous HA was increased to maximum dosage in January due to a visit to A&E and as usual

New to PA and need info and support
Hi, for nearly 10 years I have been returning blood tests with low b12 levels, recently these have been 140 / 155 / 170 and 2 weeks ago 165. I continued to advise GP that there was an issue. In 2018 I had 6 loading doses but no follow up treatments. Throughout 2023 I reported tiredness and more concerningly

Cardiac issues
Hi CD, Following on from your comments re MSK specialist and my reply. Since Sept/Oct 2023 my BP has progressively worsened while HR is beautifully spot on. BP is gradually trending up to around the 166/80 whereas in October and earlier it was a comfortable 132/70 with a beautiful steady HR. Whilst

So my sister has just found that she has haemochromatosis...
I've nagged her to follow up on her high ferritin results for the last year or so, though GP seemed disinterested with it above 700 so I sent her to give blood which bought it down to 400. Since then we have successfully got her GP to acknowledge her Hypothyroidism and prescribe T4 and I got her to

Massage
Had a massage yesterday lunchtime to unknot shoulder and back muscles. Afterwards, I felt really spaced out, vacant and woosy. Looking at website it mentions that massage effects blood pressure. Used Kardia to do ECG and got half a dozen unrecognised readings. Slept for 2 hours and eventually came round

Hi all, Does anyone have any experience with taking blood pressure tablets after being diagnosed with Glaucoma? I have moderate glaucoma in my right eye, have had a couple of surgeries (Preserflo) and have recently been diagnosed with slightly high blood pressure. I saw the Physician Associate today

Update
Hi 👋 I posted 5 weeks ago about going to gp with chest pain, she did my bp was slightly raised and said to go A&E. I went there they did xray, ecg, bloods etc. Everything fine but the troponin was 42. They tested again in 3 hours was 43. Said unlikely a HA everything else fine and sent me home.

Hi good people, I’m 5 mos into Acalabrutinub and finally WBCs are coming down, but still pretty high. It’s time for a flu vaccine and soon the next Covid shot will be available. And there’s the RSV vaccine! I’m wondering about my response to any vaccines at this point in my treatment. My onc says to

New, A Bit Scared, Would Appreciate Advice.
For background I've got Ehlers Danlos, a genetic connective tissue disorder which causes stretchy joints, skin, dislocations and a whole host of other fun things. Also underactive thyroid and B12 deficiency/ pernicious anemia and asthma. In spite of my issues I've always loved exercise, keeping fit
