Iron panel results
In early Sept my ferritin came back: 25.9 (10-291) so I asked for an iron panel. I am a bit confused by the transferrin result as I have read that if low iron then transferrin should be high? Mine is below range. Oct 22: Ferritin: 28.9 (10-291) Iron serum: 13.7 (9-30.4) Transferrin: 2.42 (2.5

Help please.
last night my right leg started jerking around 8pm. Had a bath with Epsom salts. Took medication around 9.30, legs still jerking in bed under weighted blanket. No sleep. Got up to read and do stretches. Waited until 1.30 to take extra codeine. Right leg continued to jerk. Had another bath with Epsom

I’ve put a very potted history in my bio. My question is- of the recent blood results, which would be the most useful to post seeking guidance from you knowledgable folk? I seem to have had everything and chips done by GP- not complaining.- and started a course of B12 injections. But from the results

is there a good time of day to take your b12 shot
So we have been given permission to do B12 shots at home combined with 200 mg ferrous sulphate and 20,000 of Vit D by our GP who will be doing further diagnostics in the mean time...the one thing I forgot to ask him is if there is a good time of day to take the B12 shots...morning, before bed, before

Is it B12 deficiency, cortisol issues or COVID related?
I had Covid in March and since then have been feeling pretty much all of the rotten signs and symptoms I had when on T4 only as well as some more awful ones indicative of B12 deficiency. My ferritin vit D but especially B12 have all taken a dive. I have always had above range B12 without supplements.

Hello, I have been reading the posts on this site for a few months and the information has been very beneficial. Thank you all! I stopped taking the prescribed daily dose of Ferrous Sulfate 325 mg 48 hours before getting the Iron lab test. Also, fasted before test and had done 1st thing in the morning

Radium 223 instead of enzalutamide
My dad mentioned that he’d like to come off enzalutamide because of always feeling tired and the doc has agreed and is now starting him on a course of Radium 223. The aim is to target 2 small bone mets and bring them under control. Apparently they are becoming more active so the enzalutamide hasn’t held

I am 6 years into stage 4 prostate cancer. Have had SOC treatment in UK. Best PSA was 0.08 about 2 years ago. Since then have had bicalutimide, enzalutimide some localised radiotherapy for back pain. Also been on cabazitaxel, which eventually failed. I am now into my 2nd. treatment of radium 223. So

Soaked the elbow in HOT Epsom salts, nothing released…smoothed on some frankincense

hi, I’ve read a lot of posts here and am finding them extremely reassuring , I haven’t found this on any fb so far. I’ll try and give a condensed story of myself. Maybe it might resonate with someone and help them, that they’re not odd for feeling a variety of emotions. Firstly, 5 years ago I had an

Panic Attacks
For about two years, I've experienced panic attacks several times a week. The first time that I had one I went to the ER, because I thought I was having a heart attack. The main symptoms are a shortness of breath, a feeling of tightening in the chest, and an overall sense of weakness. I've had problems

severe Pain
Hi All,I’m new on this page so please bear with me. My GP after a blood test recommended I take Ferrous Sulfate 200mg per day. Well I suffer chronic stomach pains, and have done for over 10yrs,to which I’m not entirely sure why, however that would take to long to go into. I’ve had the tablets now

ferrous sulphate giving me terrible stomach cramps
I'm really struggling with stomach cramps from ferrous sulphate.. my gp originally had me on 200g 3 times per day... when my level rose from 17 to 60 he said to stop taking them. Within a week my ferritin had dropped to 38 so I'm back to taking just 200g once a day. Has anyone else tried ferogloblin

Depressed and desperate
I haven’t written in a while but I read all of the comments. New neurologist who aligns with the mayo clinic philosophy. After a painful weaning off of pramipexole I was actually doing great on 1200 mg of gabapentin and .50 mg of clonazepam. I take oral iron and my ferritin level is around 52, which

Low ferritin question
Hi. Would be grateful for advice. My (adult) daughter had always suffered from anaemia to some extent. Last year her B12 came back at 119 and she had a course of injections. Recently she had been feeling weak, tired and with palpitations and tachycardia, so had blood tests. B12 was 300 and ferritin
