I am 6 years into stage 4 prostate cancer. Have had SOC treatment in UK. Best PSA was 0.08 about 2 years ago. Since then have had bicalutimide, enzalutimide some localised radiotherapy for back pain. Also been on cabazitaxel, which eventually failed. I am now into my 2nd. treatment of radium 223. So far I have experienced the pain flair but very little pain relief which is why im going through this treatment. Can anyone who has had Radium 223 pass on their experience. I have 4 treatments to go, wondering if its worth it.

Some patients get good pain relief from mitoxantrone (an older chemo drug).
If it works, it is worth it. 3 treatments for me for me. #4 canceled when scans showed 4 new mets after 3 months.... Best of luck to you with your treatments... I never had pain increase and it was gone by #2.
