Baker's cyst

I saw the consultant today re the results of my MRI scan for the fluid on the knee and bakers cyst. Apparently It showed very little arthritis in the knee.

Has anyone had a bakers cyst that's gone into the calf but not burst? I had an assessment for a blood clot but Dr said it was a bakers cyst. That was February 2020 . The swelling behind my knee has gone but I've got what feels like a bag of fluid in my calf and it's been there 4 years.

I have wondered if the swelling could be due to a ruptured Bakers Cyst? I’m having a CT scan today on my hips, stomach, abdomen and pelvic area to look at other possibilities for all of this (cancer). I’m a mess and really wish I had not reduced to zero pred.

I had what's called a Bakers Cyst behind my left knee - this often occurs with degenerative changes in the knee. So in the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't bear any weight at all on my left leg. Most likely the cyst ruptured causing me horrific pain.

I. am poorly.I have OA in my two knees ( Bakers Cyst behind left knee), left hand (recently infected corticosteroid) right thumb and right foot. Wondering if it's a flare now that the weather has gone cold and if the adrenal glands are not working yet.

I have a bakers cyst behind my left knee which is causing a lot of stiffness anyway but now it's very stiff and achy and I find it hard to walk even a little bit! Tried ringing the doctor on Friday but went onto an answer machine with no option to leave a message, very helpful I know 🙄.

Now the good knee has started also has the swelling at back and pain of bakers cyst Already Had injections painkillers antiflamatry gels etc, referred to physio and waited 12 months for my apt last week.

I had an ultrasound on my right knee which shows a small ‘bakers cyst’. All this is perhaps pointing away from PMR. I guess I’ll go ahead with the plan as there is only one way to find out if my Polly Dolly PMR is beginning to recede. Any thoughts anyone?

I am also struggling with a bakers cyst behind the operated knee which post op has doubled in size. the hospitals response was that if I was worried get in touch with my GP or go to A and E. I am not sure either would be of any help. Also walking.

Is this normal when you have a bakers cyst? I'm on crutches and can barely walk. I can't put my foot on the ground. Getting upstairs is a major challenge. I'm wondering whether to contact the doctors. As this is unbearable

Has anyone here used a knee support or compression sock for a ruptured bakers cyst? It's 1 and a half weeks since mine ruptured....my lower leg is still a bit swollen and although the pain has reduced, it aches if I stand for too long or walk about too much.

sept 20 is the end of my 5th year treatment of Ocrevus, needing it bad ,has worn off.This week I had a bakers cyst drained from the back of my knee.i had never heard of it but i guess it is caused by injury ,of course,or artheritis.my knee and ankle were swelled, after draining it swelling is gone.i

I spoke with rheumatologist nurse today and she said possibly a bakers cyst but I asked her why I keep getting these fluid lumps pop up in all different places , still have the one just above my collarbone which has had a ultrasound and said nothing there and then the foot still waiting on a injection

- I don't believe it's a Bakers Cyst in each knee, by the way and neither did the physio I saw last month (private). She thought it was connected to PMR. I am due to see an NHS physio shortly. I wonder if I should be trying to go down to 7 mg or do I wait to try to get knee problems explained?

In Feb this year I suffered a burst Bakers Cyst which was quite restrictive and latterly quite painful. I subsequently had it aspirated and then a steroid injection into the knee which gave me some temporary relief for about 10 days and then further pain followed.

cyst- going to have steroids injected with hyaluronic next week My query is when should I start trying to reduce again and would PMR cause this problem?

Following on from my recent posts had to have scan at hospital this morning,no DVT but have a ruptured Bakers Cyst still not nice to have but better than aDVT,still very painful although I've never heard of it.

I have a Bakers cyst which has now become quite large. This stops me exercising and impacts my everyday life. Anybody know what I can do to alleviate the pain? I currently take Duloxatine for fibro and pre Gabalin, paracetamol. Advice please, thanks so much steph

I have been drawing off synovial fluid for two years as when my bakers cyst gets large it causes a lot of stiffness and pain. I was draining off up to 15cc at a time, maybe twice a week, nowadays I haven't drained any off for a couple of months.
