Support for ruptured bakers cyst?

Has anyone here used a knee support or compression sock for a ruptured bakers cyst? It's 1 and a half weeks since mine ruptured....my lower leg is still a bit swollen and although the pain has reduced, it aches if I stand for too long or walk about too much. I really want to go out to the shops to do some Christmas shopping, so I'm thinking if I had a knee support, it would help. But I don't know what sort to buy, as there's so many on the market. Any ideas or tips?

Call in at a chemists and they will advise you what to buy even if you use when your shopping. xxxx
