Update - prednisone taper and Covid Booster
In the past few weeks, while finishing my DSNS taper from 5 to 4.5 mg, I've noticed some of the original PMR symptoms I had - painful neck and a pulsing in my head to the beat of my heart. When I went to a GP within a week of getting these symptoms back in January 2021, they ruled out having a tumour

38 weeks planned c section - Steroid injection?
Iâm currently 34+1 with our IVF miracle and having a planned c section at 38 weeks (had complicated emergency c section with first child) but theyâve said they offer an optional steroid injection if you deliver planned before 39 weeks which can apparently help with breathing for baby IF they have fluid

However, yesterday I started off and for the first time in weeks I had no tightness in my chest

Hello all! So we're currently have ICSI due to unexplained infertility, with possible mild male factor due to borderline-low motility and morphology. My partner recently saw a urologist who has diagnosed a varicocele (big thanks to people on this forum for suggesting we check this out!). The urologist

Beautiful night
Although it is late, around 10 , I just got done walking outside. It is very beautiful, snow is falling down hard and it looks like Christmas! Itâs strange to think that it is almost April and itâs snowing like this, but I am still enjoying it. I am looking forward to some flowers soon though! Hope you

Help needed! đ
Wondered if anyone could relate or any advice? OK so back in Dec 2021 I started with a runny nose, sneezing, blocked, and neuralgia - I thought I was getting a cold, so a few days passed and still all the same symptoms but I noticed my smell had started to go, which is strange because I've never really

CEA Fluctuations
My husband has just completed his 3rd cycle of Carboplatin and Etoposide for prostate cancer liver mets. Before the first cycle his CEA was 38 (should be <5) This number is being used as baseline. After 1st cycle it was 30.3 but after his 2nd cycle it rose to 32.7. Is it normal for CEA to fluctuate

So...how was your day ?
Mine started well. Just starting to get over illness (face pain, plenty of sneezing, mucus, aching joints) - and hadn't had a bad night's sleep last night. Then just small things: I was a day late with my B12 injection, as I just hadn't felt up to it yesterday. Didn't do a very good job of it -

My CLL, where is the finishing line?
Just over a year ago my âAbnormal CLLâ took off. I lost weight rapidly and my 22 cm spleen hurt. I was glad to be offered V+O and after a bad initial reaction settled into the routine. Then the sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infections set in and the coughâŠ. Fair to say I have endured the year

Tips to manage embryo transfer phase
Hi my great family, The long wait will be over this week as my transfer day 5 has been scheduled. I produced 11eggs, 8 matured, 5 got fertilized via ICSI. I had mild lower abdomen cramp, which I kept drinking lot of water and it got better. Currently I am not feeling the lower abdomen cramp like before
