Constant tinnitus in left ear only.

Hi, I've searched online but don't know if I am missing information.

Does cetirizine hydrochloride have any link to Tinnitus?

I've suffered allergies for probably ten years, it isn't seasonal, just random, so I put it down to environmental stuff, maybe dust in the house etc, although certain perfume can set it off etc, I've never been able to locate the exact cause.

I have taken cetirizine hydrochloride for many years. I got my tinnitus during covid this March, so I put it down to covid but I was also taken cetirizine hydrochloride at the same time.

I've just got some allergies this morning and was about to take a cetirizine hydrochloride tablet but wondered if this could make it worse.

Any research or experience that people know of?

Thanks

give Tinnitus UK a ring, they might have some knowledge of any research that’s been done. Or possibly your pharmacist might know (they are better on drugs and their side-effects than doctors having had several years training on pharmaceuticals).

Yes I agree with Happyrosie , you chemist should be able to look up side effect on your meds . Mine did.
