Periods worsening every time I take a break from hormones?
On the evra patch, took it off to have a period before switching to the pill (logynon) as the patch was causing high blood pressure and palpitations. Every time I take my patch off if seems to get worse. This morning I had a tightening pain from my bottom left abdomen which traveled up through my ribs

Endometrial Cancer- 8 months remission-after 4 years trying
Hi friends, As we all worry and deal with covid-19 pandemic, I thought it would be good to share some success I have been having, mostly because I never expected this much success...even though I remain open to the idea that my cancer can recur. I am in remission about 8 months! My doc always said he

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Anyone use amitriptyline for endo pain?
I've seen mention of amitriptyline used for endo pain on here. Can anyone tell me their experiences with this? I'm at a point where my medication isn't working well enough and am looking for other options. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know too! I'm currently taking 60mg codeine

I was recently diagnosed with PBC. So still learning about disease. Just started on ursodiol for one month. 1200 mg daily. Wondering if this medication can cause bladder irritations and burning? If so why and what to do.. little comment from my Dr when I asked. Would appreciate input. I am still going

Alendronic acid and dentists.
Hello I'm new here. I have been taking Alendronic acid for nine months after breaking my arm in an accident. Now that we are all in 'lock down' in this country because of COVID-19 (no I haven't got it or any symptoms), as bad luck would have it, I have the most painful toothache and my dentist has refused

Hello ladies, May I please ask how many of you are taking the Alendronic Acid and if so for how long, and has anyone experienced any nasty side affects. My rheumatologist thinks I've started, but I haven't. Was on the lower dose of Pred (15 mg) back in Dec last year, and for the past 2 weeks been

Amitriptyline for Endometriosis - what’s your experience?
I’ve tried several painkillers now: codeine, mefanamic acid, tramadol, codydramol and naproxen. They’ve now prescribed me Amitriptyline and I was wondering what anyone else’s experience was with this drug or any other medication they have found useful with managing endometriosis pain?

Anyone find calcium tablets difficult to stomach?
Has anyone found that taking calcium tablets doesn’t agree with them? I started taking Accrete D3 on Monday, each film coated tablet contains cholecalciferol 400IU and calcium 600mg ( as calcium carbonate 1500mg) and I take 2 a day. The excipients are hydrogenated soya-bean oil and sucrose. I’ve felt

Advice for pushing to get a lap
Hi everyone, I've been dealing with a variety of symptoms over a period of years and for a long time I didn't link the likes of my sciatica (scheduled MRI was cancelled on the day because consultant told me he could "feel" a slipped disk) and IBS (had colonoscopy - clear of course) because I was on

Any advice on use of Alendronic Acid and Calceos
I have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I am female and 64 years old and a polio survivor. I have lead a full and active life and raised a family. Polio left me with weakened upper body muscles but apart from a couple of throat infections over the years I have had no reason to visit a doctor. Last
