Looking for input on lung cancer surgery with lymph node removal and mild COPD

I am now down to 3 lobes due to lung cancer surgeries. It has been 5 weeks and I still get short of breath with any exertion. My heart rate goes up as high as 120, but my O2 level pretty much stays above 90. As soon as I sit down my heart rate starts to drop and my O2 level goes up. My oncologist has offered to put me back on oxygen (I came home from the hospital on it, but was taken off 3 weeks later by my oncologist). Anyway, when he made the offer I said no, I didn't feel I need it because my O2 level stays above 90. Is there anyone here with mild COPD who is also missing lobes? Have you gone on oxygen? If so, why? If not, why not?

Also, how long did it take for the pain and swelling from the lymph node removal to dissipate?
