pain from underarm incision
Three weeks ago I had a partial mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery to reconstruct that breast and lymph node removal. I'm experiencing a fair amount of pain in the underarm incision. Also experiencing a sort of zapping pain in the breast, which people say is nerve regeneration (?). Can anyone help with

Pacemaker and AV node ablation
Schilling gave me the option for a pacemaker with an
AV
node
ablation
. He talked it through with me very carefully indeed. Finally at the end of January of this year, I went in and had a two lead pacemaker inserted, but not connected.

Pace and Ablate
But they have OK’d the
AV
node
ablation
- which of course I can’t have - until after the pacemaker. I am going for an echocardiogram tomorrow as evidently I need to be in heart failure with an ejection fraction of less than 30% to qualify for bi-ventricular. I somehow don’t think I am there yet!

Pacemaker and Fast Heartbeat
I am due for a pre med in 3 weeks time for an
AV
Node
Ablation
. I assume that the pacemaker will then go from doing almost nothing to supplying every beat of my heart. My concern is ,how will the increased workload affect my pacemaker. Has anyone any thoughts/ideas/experience on this.

Sharp back pain
Hi All: I have my catheter ablation surgery May 1st. June 1st I tried to mildly exercise but experienced sharp back pain and a heavy chest. Okay. Just a month..maybe too soon. I tried again on July 1st and had the same thing. It was an even milder workout than before. Once again, really sharp back pain

Thinking of a Cardiac Ablation
I’ve been reading quite a bit from people who have had or are thinking of Cardiac Ablation. I just want to add my 2 cents. I had my Ablation on June 18,2018. The Doctor said it went perfectly. 2 days later I was easily walking up/down stairs two Fridays later I was on the tennis court and the next day

To port or not to port
Hi everyone. I’ve appreciated reading everyone else’s posts and hearing about the individual journeys we have all been on with MBC. I was orig diagnosed with stage II in dec 2013 (at the age of 44)and had 2 surgeries including a mastectomy, 8 courses of dose dense chemo, and 5 1/2 weeks radiation all

Negligible Afib (if any at all) after doing these 2 things...
A couple of years ago I had a catheter ablation which was 70% successful in eliminating my Afib, which was great but slightly disappointing too. After 6 months my cardiologist said it was unlikely that it would improve further. Then I heard about Magnesium supplements and how good they were for the

Maybe I deserve all this...?
I’ve suffered a long and painful life, but for awhile I thought that had marginally improved. I’d survived two spinal surgeries, two heart valve replacements, a cardiac ablation, plus three lesser operations on my left knee and one on my right hand. I learned to walk all over again three times, and was

Cough and Phelgm After RF Cardiac Ablation with TOE
Hi all, I ended up having an RF abalation with TOE on Monday and so far so good with the heart. I have ended up some shortness of breath with a productive cough clearing Phelgm from my chest and a very sore throat . Is this due to the TOE or should I be talking to my doctor further ?

Surgery complications anyone else ?
Hi, I don’t have endo but As my mum died of endometrial cancer and the family history for the ladies isn’t great, I have always suffered terribly with periods, after having my family I was agreed that a hysterectomy would be the best thing...... Long story short I had an endometrial ablation in January

Hey y’all...I’m 34 and had a cardiac ablation 2 years ago for afib...totally cured...however once every few months I get skipped beats that last a few hours and then resolve spontaneously. They usually present when I’m exhausted...can someone help relieve my anxiety. If I even have the smallest of skipped

How to stay Afib free after a successful cardiac ablation.
Having had an ablation last October I am AFib free for now and want to stay that way for as long as I can. Are my old Afib triggers still to be avoided? Is high intensity exercise OK? Grateful for any comments or anecdotes!

Positive thoughts about having an AV node ablation.
Admittedly having an
AV
node
ablation
is a big consideration and maybe not for everyone, but for me it has given me the chance to rebuild my life. I hope this message may be of some help.

8 years in, post ablation
Hi All, I'm an afib patient since 2010, and have thus far had 2 cardioversions and a cardiac catheter ablation, followed by 2 more cardioversions. The ablation was in January and the cardioversions in Feb and again early April. Since I've been "back in NSR" my bp has started to climb through the roof

Waiting period for catheter ablation in Bedfordshire
Hello, Back in September 2017 I had a major heart attack resulting in 12 shocks and 10 CPRS, followed by one stent in the main artery. Since then, I’ve had 3 episodes of atrial fibrillation and were brought under control by drugs. I am told I need catheter ablation but can’t afford a private operation
