If I can't reach behind my back after surgery, how will I be able to use toilet paper? This is actually very worrisome!
Well, this is embarrassing! But I am scheduled to have open heart surgery on Tuesday so I was reading about it, and it says you can't reach behind your back for a few weeks afterwards. How am I going to use TP after taking a dump then? I'm single and alone so there is nobody I could ask for help with

Severe pain after open heart surgery. Week 6 in hospital.
Hello. Mum came out of icu 12 days ago after a whole month. She had a valve replacement surgery with complications. Ct scan shows bilateral stroke. Once out of İCU, She started responding which was great. She is able to move her limbs, left side weaker. However, as she was sedated for a month in icu,

Warfarin (Coumadin) Success?
I'm currently on Xarelto, but investigating whether or not folks who take Warfarin/Coumadin get relief from APS-associated symptoms -- like tinnitis, memory issues, joint pain or halting the progression of mitral valve disease.

Heart Transplant
Has anyone on here had a heart transplant? If so, can they tell me what its like to live after the operation? What changes do you have to make? What drugs do you have to take and are the side effects debilitating? Thanks in advance.

Agonising Calf Pain
I’ve just finished Week 3 Run 3. Slightly dreading week 4 due to the pain I am experiencing in my inner calves. It started about week 2 run 2 and is like an agonising burning sensation. It causes me to woddle home and it’s very uncomfortable. As soon as I get home, I get in a hot bath and use deep heat

Update: repeated chest infections
Hi all, For those of you who have read my earlier posts regarding finding answers to why I am having so many chest infections, I have an update. Yesterday I spoke with my GP and he gave me the x-ray results of the x-ray I had done in the A&E about 2 weeks ago. He said there was a shadow on my lower

More bad news
I just wish I could banish the fear of dying once and for all as it would probably cure my overall anxiety as well. I have been in hell since March being 56, morbidly obese for years with the fear of catching Coronavirus, and having found out four weeks ago I have heart failure and afib, I am utterly

Been having swollen ankles for ages with only 'superficial 'advice from doc/GP.After a strong letter to him and a whole range of bloods one of the bloods came up with a very high BNP result. To cut a long story short. I have no other symptoms of heart failure eg walk very well, climb stairs, not breathless

Hi Everyone, So a quick back story. I am 30 years old. In October 2018 I was diagnosed with narrow complex tachycardia and Atrial Fibrillation from a wearing a monitor. A week later I went for an EP study however they couldn’t induce the arrhythmia:-/ they went ahead with cryoblation anyways but could

New here - experiencing quadrigeminy, trigeminy and bigeminy
Hi, 49 year old woman here with a history of PVC's my entire adult life. They used to be very intermittent, I'd get an episode or 2 a day lasting a few minutes to an hour for a few months, then nothing for a year, etc. I was told not to worry about it and didn't. Now it's been worsening over 3 years

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding
That's the midway bell that chimed on W5R2 which is also the midway point of this whole mucky, sordid affair. In terms of runs anyway, 13.5 runs into a 27 run programme. The midway point for the running doesn't land until about 15 paces into W7R1. I know what you're thinking, what kind of anal
