Sinus Bradycardia and first degree AV heartbkock

I have Sinus Bradycardia and during a recent Pacemaker checkup I was told I have an increasing AV heart block which my Pacemaker is dealing with. Any comments from anyone with a similar experience would be helpful.

Side Effects from Metoprolol 25mg

I am taking Metoprolol 25mg halved twice a day for AFib and having side effects of almost passing out or a weird feeling of like I would be passing out which has happened twice now. I'm taking it with Eliquis. Is anyone else having this symptom?

BP Home Machines

Hi, I know that home blood pressure machines are inaccurate when measuring whilst in arrhythmia, but does that just refer to the heart rate and not the actual BP? Thanks

Details around flecainide organising atrial fibrillation into an atrial tachy

Does anyone have any details around how/when this occurs and is it just a case of living with it? The nurses suggested I could try increasing flec from 50mg twice a day to 100mg, but if the flec causes the issues, I'm wondering if it would make things worse? I was put onto bisoprolol because of this

anyone heard of long p wave

had my pacemaker in on Friday. Still in hospital with New med trial is bisoprolol, flecainide, amlodipine, xarelto. They say the flecainide is causing long p wave- I was taken off of flecainide in 2019 , but I thought it was for long qt wave. On this regiment of meds, no more spiking of heart

Sudden increase in resting Heart Rate?

Bit puzzled by this, wondering if anyone had any clever ideas? I've tried to ring the local arrhythmia nurses but not got through yet, emailed them yesterday but no reply so far. I'm on 1x1.25mg biso and 1x50 flec twice daily which appears to have been working Ok. Saturday I did a local park run

Can Anyone Help?

I’m currently abroad and have ‘spanish tummy’. Anyone know of any reason I can’t take Imodium or Dioralyte with Flecainide/Bisoprolol or Apixaban?

Bisoprolol and arrhy

hi I am on 2.5mg daily of Bisoprolol. My question is does Bisoprolol reduce episodes of arrhythmia or does it just reduce heart rate? I have paroxysmal AF and GP has recommended increasing the dose to 5mg daily but I am reluctant as I am a runner and my resting heart rate is 45-55 BPM, sometimes lower

Just diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation

Hi I was diagnosed with A-fib a couple of weeks ago via an ECG trace on my Kardia mobile. I am now on Apixaban 5mgs twice daily and Atenelol and have been advised that an ablation is the best way forward. I only have had 3 episodes to my knowledge and so it paroxysmal but makes me feel pretty unwell

Anti coagulants or blood thinners?

A friend has recently been diagnosed with AF and another friend told her one of her drugs was a blood thinner. We were on a zoom call and I chipped in saying it wasn't a blood thinner it was an anti coagulant. The friend said that her husband (with AF) was on blood thinners. I started to doubt myself

Another bisoprolol query

I take 2.5 mg of bisoprolol daily and in normal sinus rhythm a steady heart beat of 65 bpm. I've had three 40+ hour episodes of AF so far this year and was admitted to A & E during last episode. I had increased bisoprolol dose to 3.75 twice a day while in AF . The doctor in Same Day Emergency Care

Should I be concerned about lower resting HR on bisoprolol?

I had my first recorded (though probably 3rd in 3 years) AF incident on Sunday and have got 1.25mg of bisoprolol and 5 mg x 2 pd of apixaban. I am a runner so my resting overnight HR is usually low, say mid 40s. My heart returned to its normal rhythm on Sunday night after about 19 hours in AF. So now

Feeling low after stopping meds.

Hi all, I have had AF for 13 years following death of first husband. Have been on a beta blocker for that long, and then flecainide was added about 7 years ago. I had a cardiac ablation in October 22. After 4 months I came off flec slowly over 5 weeks then stopped metoprolol . It is now 5 weeks
