I have been taking meds for Afib for the past 6 years , started on amiodarone (which started okay but increasingly affected my balance and caused a feeling of nausea ) ….was ablated and went on to flecanaide which has felt better but became out of rhythm on and off and have subsequently now been put

Indigestion after Heart Attack
I had my heart attack last year. One stent. Now experiencing right chest pain sometimes in the evening. I often think I am having another heart attack but after going to casualty I realise it is indigestion. I have never suffered with this prior to the heart attack. The pain is bad. It can be difficult

Worries about having a stroke
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I’m a 51 year old female and I had mitral and aortic valves replaced last year so am on warfarin for life. I have real anxiety about having a stroke after having a TIA after having the Astrazenica vaccine. I need to have surgery on both of my knees, probably partial

AVR and bisoprolol and other meds.
I was wondering if anyone has had a aortic valve replacement or open heart surgery and put on bisoprolol or other beta blockers while on an anxiety medication? I had surgery 1 year ago and I am still bedridden and was on beta blockers for 11 months and taken off abruptly and now I'm in a withdrawal.

Am I now in permanent AF?
Just a brief introduction , I have been suffering from AF for about 5 years and after 3 ablations ,1 was for flutter, I was getting episodes every 2 to 3 weeks usually lasting 4 to 6 hours. These episodes are usually terminated by PIP flecainide and metoprolol . I’m used to them now and basically ride

Rosuvastatin/Crestor
I had high cholesterol of 5.8 and high blood pressure, was put on atorvastatin, which gave me terrible side effects, had to come off it, was put on 5mg Rosuvastatin, had a little nausea and dizziness first two weeks, then nothing, no side effects at all now, very happy, I know a few people on rosuvastatin

May the Fourth be with me!
Headed to my fourth ablation today after many deliberations. Cardioversion took care of an atrial tachycardia episode back in February. Per EP’s instructions, came off metoprolol and flecainide four days prior to today … and amazingly no Afib or flutter. In fact, feeling quite well. So wondering if I

Edoxaban dangers
Yesterday, 28 Mar 22, I received a letter from my local surgery stating that a review of my medication had taken place by a consultant cardioligist and that I was being moved from Apixaban to Edoxaban as it was cheaper and was not detrimental to my health. AFib, Post Ablation, & Sex
I haven't seen this topic here and I don't know if it's within the guidelines but here goes: What relationship have folks here experienced between sex, Afib, and the post-Ablation period? When my Afib started, there was some correlation between having episodes after having had sex. Apparently, sexual

Post CABG and butterflies
I've always had an interest in butterflies (lepidoptera) but life got in the way over the years and my hobby fell by the wayside - like a lot of us I suppose. While I've been off work recovering from a CABGx3 in February this year I found six little caterpillars on a kale-type plant near one of my

Dapagliflozin
Hi, All. Been pre pandemic since I've been here! Just before that started, I had an av node ablation done in early January 2020. I've felt great ever since. Highly recommended, no pain or discomfort during the procedure and it only took 45 minutes. My latest news is that I've been put on Dapagliflozin

Breathing Problems - COPD?
Well I have breathing problems, not the normal COPD Flare Ups. For a while now I have been getting short of breath to easily. Feeling worse in myself also. I made an appointment with my excellent GP - She listened to everything I had to say. My BP normally low was normal, my O2 sats no worse than

Feeling ‘flat’ a year after bypass
I am a year post op after an ‘out of the blue’ heart attack and triple bypass. I have also been a Type 1 diabetic for 42 years. I had an unremarkable recovery. No problems apart from a wound infection months after operation when I also had COVID. I wasn’t really ill then either. My life has returned

Chest spasms
Help again please. I have had PMR for over 2.5 years and was taking 4 mg Pred daily. I started with TMJ which was eased with Ibroprofen. A week later I had sore eyeballs and the headache was further up my head. I have all the symptoms of GCA so had my Temporal Artery Biopsy yesterday. All went well so

Though i consulted many doctors only one doctor gave me diuretic Torasemide 5mg and that helped me to walk as my breathlessness improved
