The risk of doing nothing

, I have a cousin who is 93. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis many years ago started Fosamax and because of some side effects stopped taking the medication. I spoke to her recently about her osteoporosis and she told me that she was 5‘4“ in her prime and she now is 4 foot 11. She is legally blind

AFTER FORTEO

Has anyone taken Fosamax after Forteo with good results instead of going on Prolia? Also, has anyone taken Prolia and not have side effects? all we hear are the horror stories, there must be some good stories. Is it because people who are doing well don’t go on the website?

Severe Osteoporosis - Understanding the scan report and treatment

Trimbow eligibility??

ok so I’ll reply to you all on my other post shortly, thank you all for your support!! I was thinking of asking my GP to step down my Seretide from 125/25 to 50/25 because the steroid is definitely doing less for me than the long acting reliever. I was also going to ask to switch back from Atrovent

The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂

This is a verrrry long post!! If anyone actually reads to the end you have my full respect I’m a returning member to the forum. I used to be active when I was being treated for severe asthma. I used to routinely end up in hospital for basic chest infections, and struggled with chest aching and tightness

Eye watering

I had my acoustic neuroma surgery in 2018. I have been using Hylo Forte eye drops to keep my eye moist. Surgery was performed on right side and my right eye has always been good. But from past two days that eye is constantly watering. Does anyone know why?

prednisone, methotrexate, forteo

I am 6 years into pmr. This is my third try on methotrexate. Gone from 18 mg to 15&1/2mg. In 4 months. Might be having trouble at 15& 1/2 time will tell. (That is where I keep getting stuck) Just went thru terrible 5 month ordeal with new fractures in spine. I finally decided to face my fear and go

Will this go by August?

So it's been just over a month since I've had T caused by clarithromycin. Since I last posted I've seen a high street audiologist for a hearing test and to discuss the T. No hearing loss, which is good right? Hearing loss can make T caused by antibiotics permanent, I've read. The audiologist sent a

Evenity versus Forteo/Tymlos

Hi everyone, Has anyone tried Evenity. My spine is worse than my hips but my doctor likes the results that this drug has given people in both areas. It is a relatively new drug so I am not as comfortable with it as compared to Forteo or Tymlos. For those who have tried Forteo or Tymlos, did they

Travel with Forteo

I'm going to italy for 5 months. From here to my destination will be about 24 hours. I have 5 vials of Forteo. How do I keep it cool enough. Is it a hassle getting it in the plane. Do I need anything to travel with it. The needles will be in suitcase. Thank you

Label Change on Forteo (teriparatide) for those who might have missed the news from the FDA and Eli Lilly

I have just read the information below on Inspire.com (The National Osteoporosis Foundation which is now the Bone Health & Osteoporosis) and thought it might be of some use to someone here. There was a link at the end of this which I’m not able to post right now. “I thought it might be helpful to post

Nebuliser

Advice desperately needed. Pulmonologist has taken me off revlar ellipta and incruse as he said it’s not getting into lungs and prescribed atrovent and pulmicort nebulisers.
