Painful arms and shoulders
I went into afib in the early hours of Friday morning and I knew pretty much I would be in it for 30 hours plus. What was different this time was the arrythmia wasn't so severe, the heart rate remained under 100bpm often down to the 60s & 70s and although my BP was all over the place I could carry on

Paxlovid with Eliquis
What is the latest advice on taking Paxlovid for Covid if you are on an anticoagulant? Do you need to stop it or just be extra careful of bleeding or not take Paxlovid at all? I know you need to stop your statin drug while on it.

bnp level high, breathlessness and fluid in lungs. What does this mean?
hello everyone. I have posted relatively frequently, most recently because my weight loss surgery was cancelled due to high heart rate(120-130) in persistent af and breathlessness. The gp gave me additional bisoprolol which brought hr down to about 90. Breathlessness has continued, possibly due to

Psma-pet scan results
PCa Warriors: I am on Active Surveillance(AS )with one core GL6 at 10%. I am part of a clinical trial that uses PSMA-pet scan to track progression. I guess the goal is to catch progression early and maybe avoid biopsies. The results are given below. Two things grabbed my attention from the report.

Should the dose of Dutasteride be increased?
The plot above shows the residual (nadir) level of DHT in men as a function of the daily Dutasteride dose (mg/day). The DHT nadir numbers shown in this plot are: 23.8 pg/mL for 0.5 mg daily dose; 10.2 pg/mL for 2.5 mg daily dose; and 7.3 pg/mL for 5 mg daily dose. Ref: Clark (2004) [see Table

Back In AFib
Hi, I have been a member of this forum for years but not been for a while. I had a second ablation years ago and have had no AF at all until last night when I went into AF. I was able to see a doctor this morning who confirmed AF via an ECG, referred me to cardiology and put me back on Sotalol

Multiple arrhythmias
I have now been told by EP that I have a number of different arrhythmias which probably explains why various rhythm control meds have caused other arrhythmias and not been effective . The ablation I had earlier this year helped and i am mostly in sinus rhythm. Only taking blood thinner and sotolol PIP

anterior wall afib ablation update from April 28th
I am super excited, I had a follow up with my EP Dr. Here in Arkansas, they did tests including my pacemaker interrogation… Whooo Hooo, it showed NSR 99+%, less than 1% out, but NOT afib! Never give up, I wish I had followed Cleveland Clinic DR advice 4 years ago, following up with a 3rd ablation after

Update on Clinical Trial
I started 2nd line treatment about 9 weeks ago here in Charlotte. It is a clinical trial for ER+, Her2- with pik3ca mutation. Drugs are Inavolisib and Giredestrant (SERD). First scans last week were stable, with tiny bit of shrinkage... cautiously optimistic. Side effects not bad.
