I’m writing for my husband who is French (I’m English : we live in France )
He’s 65 and was diagnosed in March 2022 - already metastatic : PSA 36 (previous test 18months before was normal )
Mets in spine and pelvis also liver .
Enantone 3 monthly injections and Zytiga to start with. PSA went down from 56 to single digits but was short lived. Now castrate resistant.
BRCR 1 gene mutation so with Zytiga tried Niraparib in clinical trial but was in fact placebo so when PSA started climbing began Olaparib (Lynparza) - not effective so in November ‘23 began chemo Docetaxel ( PSA up to 500 ) with additional drug : Capivasertib (in Capitello trial)
After 4 rounds slight reduction in bone Mets but liver Mets on increase so came out of trial and he has now just begun a new clinical trial with PT 112 - I saw one post from someone on a similar trial and am wondering whether there is anyone else?
