Hi,

I have been a member of this forum for years but not been for a while. I had a second ablation years ago and have had no AF at all until last night when I went into AF. I was able to see a doctor this morning who confirmed AF via an ECG, referred me to cardiology and put me back on Sotalol along with my existing Apixaban. I generally don't revert naturally and required a cardioversion in the past.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement as I really thought it had gone. Has anyone any experience of what the likely view of cardiology will be after 2 ablations? I was in persistent AF previously.

Thanks

Stuart

Took three ablations over four years before my AF went but that was not the end of arrhythmias, just different ones.

Sorry to hear that, such a disappointment for you. Hope it all gets sorted quickly. I imagine that you will be a good candidate for another ablation as they’ve worked well for you in the past. Good luck!
