Below is text from an email I received from PhotoPharmics a company that is testing a light therapy device for Parkinson's Disease.  I posted about this trial over a year ago and it is now recruiting (see link below):

Light Therapy Trial: Update starting to r... - Cure Parkinson's (healthunlocked.com)

I believe this is a US based trial only but I am not 100% sure of that. Here is the Clinical Trials.gov link:

DB RCT for Specialized Phototherapy in Parkinson's Disease. - Full Text View - ClinicalTrials.gov

Click on the link at the bottom of the email text if you are interested.

Email Text:

We understand that when living with Parkinson's Disease, every step towards improvement counts. That's why we've initiated a home-based clinical trial designed to explore the potentially large benefits of specialized light therapy in the comfort and safety of your own home.

This trial is centered around the use of an investigational FDA Breakthrough non-invasive device that you can use passively while continuing your daily activities.

Our aim is to demonstrate its effectiveness in addressing symptoms of Parkinson's Disease, potentially offering dramatic improvements to your condition.

Here's what participating in the trial involves:

A 6-month study period conducted entirely from your home.

Regular virtual check-ins with our dedicated medical team through Zoom video calls.

Daily use of the specialized light therapy device during a time that fits your routine.

Your participation is more than just a contribution to a study, Helen; if successful, the treatment will improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s beyond current care for both motor and non-motor problems.

Whether or not this is a fit for you, please feel free to share this invitation with friends or acquaintances.

Participation Criteria:

Individuals aged 45 and above with a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.

Currently on a stable Parkinson's medication regimen for at least one year.

Relatively good eyesight.

We understand the importance of your comfort and convenience and we are committed to ensuring a smooth and supportive experience throughout the study.

If you're interested in exploring this opportunity further and contributing to the future of Parkinson's treatment, we invite you to visit our website at LightforPD.com to learn more and check your eligibility.

Your participation could make a meaningful difference – join us in this endeavor to enhance Parkinson's care.

 Warm regards,

The LightforPD Team

Where do you live? Can anyone participate if you have been on Parkinson’s medication for at least 1 year .

NY, their requirements are not difficult to meet, check out the links as there is a ‘do I qualify’ series of questions. Best thing about it is the trial is conducted at ur home, meetings are via zoom and the device or placebo is mailed to u. Only 1 hour per day is reqd to sit in front of kite.
