Update after seeing cardiologist and rehab assesment.
Good Morning all. I saw the Cardiologist after a visit to the A&E. I had an episode of my heart thumping in my chest and mentioned it to my rehab nurse who advised me to go to my Dr and have an ECG which I did and they sent me to A&E as a precaution. They couldn’t find anything to worry about but booked

PIP awarded until Feb 2019 Taken off me
Hi After being awarded standard rate for daily living mid 2016 until Feb 2019 I was pleased. My husband is my constant carer as I struggle with all daily tasks. Daily living is a struggle to say the least. Out of the blue earlier this year the DWP sent a form to fill in about changes to my disabilities

Apixaban / Sotalol / Bendroflumethiazie
I have been taking Apixaban for just over a year, along with Sotalol. Plus, I have been taking Bendroflumethiazide for years. My question is, should I be asking the doctor to carry out tests to ensure the Apixaban and Sotalol are required/at the correct dose? Does anyone-elses's doctor test.

New to Ramapril
Hi I am a 60 year old woman. I’ve taken Bendroflumethiazide for a few years and my Bp is usually around 145/80 but fluctuates. Doc now has me on Ramipril and after less than a week it’s down to 126/67. But I am appallingly tired to the point I can barely function. Driving home from the office I think

Experienced of A/F
I was first made aware of irregular heart beat when under aesthetic for a Cyst to be removed from my Jaw. I was treated with Soltalol to get me through the operation at a later date. I then went into Bisoprolol but found Atenolol suited me better for a while. I then had two bad episodes about 18 months

Awful headaches at around 6.30 pm every evening.
Currently experiencing fairly severe headaches at the same sort of time every evening, often involving eye strain and sometimes a poked in the eye sensation. It has become so regular I dread it. I have tried over the counter pain relief that doesn’t touch it - even Tramadol from earlier. Last night I

Low Potassium
Has anyone had low potassium whilst on pred? I am also taking bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg and was experiencing palpitations.Did some research and have found that these drugs combined can cause problems such as palpitations due to low potassium. Off to Dr's today to discuss this!

Son 5 with SVT
Hi, My son is 5 years old and has had SVT since birth. His episodes happen quite regularly. He is on atenolol and he does a headstand and his heart rate generally goes back down within seconds. If this doesn’t work he has a cold shower and the shock of that generally works. The hospital want him to go

I was diagnosed with ectopic beats 43 years ago and prescribed 50mg atenolol a day ever since. Is served me well. Suddenly I have low blood pressure, light headedness, shortness of breath, hot flushes, and I feel like a wreck! I now have 33,000 ectopics every night. I stopped taking the tablets but

Hi I’m kirsty131 and have been unwell for two years, started with memory loss/fog and palpitations, in 2016 I was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and was put on propranolol lowest to maximum dose until I was hallucinating! I have had all the heart tests and it showed I had three out of four

Help me understand my Holt Monitor results
This is the message from my doctor. A total of 90 transmissions were sent during the monitoring period. Baseline and predominant rhythm were normal sinus rhythm/sinus bradycardia. Heart rates during transmissions range from 42 to 96 bpm. Rare supra-ventricular Complexes were noted. Patient complained

Hi Everbody Two years ago I had cyroablation at Barts Hospital . My A.F was very bad prior this procedure, although now I have occasional attacks of AF, missed beats. I still take Flecanide and Atenolol to control my heart. I work night shifts a few times a month and afterwards I invariably have a jumpy
