BETA blockers for Panick attack?

Hey guys! I got prescribed today beta blocker for panick attacks, I can not have benzos due to my other meds! Anyone on these?? It’s called atenolol. I’m worried of how it’s going to make me feel so haven’t even got the courage to take it yet 😴😴

I've been taking Atenolol for a couple of years. It prevents my heart palpitations. I have no side effects at all. I don't like meds and have stopped taking some because of side effects. But the atenolol causes me no problems. If I stand up too quickly sometimes get a little dizzy. But I can't tell you if that is from the pill. It's no big deal for me.

Wish someone had prescribed that to me for panic...all the meds that affect the brain are much more cause for worry...the antidepressants and anti anxiety stuff is much more likely to cause other issues. I'd be happy to take something like a beta blocker...take it, if it doesn't help dont continue taking it...its that simple.
