Hi, a week since I had my first encounter with AF and its a bit up and down. felt great yesterday but tired, and bad stomach today. HR is slower but continually erratic. Im taking 3.75 Bisoporol, 10 mg Ramipril, 75 mg asprin plus 15mg felodipine, 20mg astorvastatin and 2.5mg bendroflumethiazide, just wondering if this is usual for sufferers out there?

Hi,
I wonder why you are taking aspirin? Do you have a different problem too? See what your chads Vasc score is ( see AF website) to work out if you =need an anti-coagulant
Why aspirin? Not recommended for stroke prevention in AF. Have your CHADSVASC score checked and see if you need a proper anticoagulant.
Cardiologist said I was borderline 0 to 1 and prescribed the asprin
Here in UK it is not recommended by NICE as it has little benefit yet can still cause stomach bleeding. If you have other cardiac issues then fine but not just for AF.
My cardiologist originally prescribed 81mg aspirin when I was first diagnosed w Afib w an event 5 years ago. My score was 1. Last month I had 7 events in two weeks and now I'm on Eliquis. Aspirin is anti-platelet adhesion but not anti-blood clot. According to my EP at Cleveland Clinic, In Europe they prescribe anti-clotting drugs not aspirin even for those w a score of 1.
I'm on two baby aspirin BID. Have had headaches and elevated BP two days despite Irbesartan 150mg daily. ? Heat wave in NYC?
