Hydroxy or just aspirin for ET?
I have also read that a double dose of
aspirin
might be an alternative. Thoughts welcome, thank you.

The ‘prozole’ tablets
I am thinking of just trying the dispensable
aspirin
with my breakfast, in the hope that it will not cause any problems such as an ulcer. Please would you mind letting me know your thoughts, I do tolerate Clopidogrel . thanks always, Judi

Is it ok to miss some doses of meds
I just can’t take meds - normally ramipril, ivabradine, isosorbide mononitratw,
aspirin
, ranolaxine and lansoprazole - plus other meds for other issues. I know people can’t give medical advice but maybe experience of similar issues? Thank you

My Cataract Surgery (Laser) is in 2 weeks
Just wondering from those who have had cataract surgery and taking
aspirin
and blood thinners, were you told to stop these prior to surgery. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Red Skin Rash - Anyone Else ? - Meds ?
Hi, All, A few weeks ago I noticed a red rash on my back which disappears on pressure? I got to see a dermatologist who remains unsure and will monitor but his suspicion is a local eruption caused by my long term heart meds. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar ? I’m on Ramipril, Asprin

How do people balance exercise and rest?
I have started medications, Bisoprolol, Eplerenone, Atorvastatin, Ramipril, Ranolazine and
Aspirin
. I am due an Angiogram on 8th March. As I am still waiting for my Angiogram things haven't really been explained to me yet as I am presuming we are waiting for the results of this?

New Here - recent diagnoses FOLLOWUP POST
We spoke at length and it was decided I would not be placed on any medication at all, including
aspirin
until either my platelets cross the 1Mil threshold, or I reach advanced age. I was told that no BMB is needed either at this time.

Besremi decision time
Have a couple (more) questions for those on Besremi; Do you continue with baby
aspirin
? Do you need to avoid the sun as with Hydroxyruea? Have you ever completely skipped a dose & waited a additional 2 weeks to take it (like you were out of town & forgot it). If so what happened?

Some drugs not weight based
At least
aspirin
is weight based, sort of, as they have age recommendations on the bottle.

Medications how long do we take them for?
Hi everyone, I am taking the following meds Clopidogrel, Pantoprazole,
Aspirin
, Rosuvastatin, Benadrol I understand that i take Clopidogrel for 12 months, and the
aspirin
for life. Do the other meds depend on how my progress goes or will I need to take those for life too?

Unsure about where to go next
I’m triple negative and BMB is also negative so paid to see MPN specialist - who agreed with haematologist that “it sounds like MPN ET” and if you were my patient, I’d suggest keeping you on
aspirin
and wait and see”.

Pradaxa Ahead Of Scheduled Cryo Ablation
My Cardiologist has had me on
Aspirin
for the past 2-3 years. My ChadVas score was 1 but for the past year is 2 and I've never taken a blood thinner before. My question is what has been the experience of folks here with Pradaxa vs. other blood thinner like Warfarin, Eliquis, etc?

New Data: Finasteride Safely Prevents Prostate Cancer'These Results Are Transformational,' Says Researcher May 20, 2018
Clinicaltrials.gov has a long list of agents under investigation, such as metformin, statins,
aspirin
, and green tea. But none of the studies, which are all relatively small, will ever be as authoritative as the PCPT.
