Am I at a higher risk from Covid ?
I have ET which is currently being treated with Pegasys and
Aspirin
. Am I classed as vulnerable? There is an option at work to have a special risk assessment if i am. I didnt ask my consultant and now wont see him till December. Thanks

at risk of APS
However, I do have to take
aspirin
for the rest of my life because I have high antibodies and my mum had this condition. I was wondering what symptoms of this disease can you or do you get?

Covid
I don't need to take any prescription medicines other than HU, and otherwise take only
aspirin
and vitamins. Nevertheless, I was seriously sick for 2 weeks with all the symptoms and am still getting my strength back. My wife and I both got our covid boosters back in October.

anticoagulants-or not..
BUT if I was not on Apixaban I could risk the odd NSAI painkillers /
aspirin
and as many of us are elderly with other ailments to manage that would be very helpful. https://open.substack.com/pub/johnmandrola/p/af-duration-another-big-story-from?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Drugs wise,
Aspirin
for life. Clopidogrel for a year- 6 months to go!! Lansoprazole 15mg And my statin was changed from Atorvastatin 40mg which gave me twinges in my chest, not pleasant and worrying , changed to Rosuvastatin 15 mg- much better. My last Cholesterol check was from 6.1 to 3.7!!!

Unstable Angina - Carotid ultrasound scan?
Everything was negative but they're treating it as angina, have prescribed
aspirin
and GTN and are referring me for a MIBI scan. That may be as soon as a month but no appointment date yet. In the meantime I'm in the waiting limbo. I have some questions.

Thromboxane & Aspirin
"
Aspirin
100 mg daily decreased U-TXM similarly across all tumour types (median reductions: 77-82%)." As expected, "
Aspirin
300 mg daily provided no additional suppression of U-TXM compared with 100 mg."

Low-dose Aspirin.
I imagine that the new
aspirin
study [JAMA (1)] will get a lot of media play, but I will post anyway. A previous study concluded that the only people who benefit from low-dose
aspirin
are those who have already experienced a cardiovascular event.

chemical pregnancy?
I’m now under care of a new clinic and agreed to try naturally with progesterone and
aspirin
support for 2/3 my cycles before moving on to IVF. I’m 39. I’ve just had a BFP yesterday morning, making me 4 weeks pregnant, but today I’ve started bleeding.

I don't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol but l still have to take Bisoporol, Rampiril,
aspirin
and Antrorvastatin l just don't understand why l still need to be taking them. Does that mean l will have to take these indefinitely? It seems like a one treatment for all approach.

Hydroxycarbamide
Have started
aspirin
and given information re Hydroxy. I’m not sure whether I want to start Hydroxy as I have no risks, apart from high cholesterol which Haematologist did mention. Just wondering if anyone has delayed starting Hydroxy. My Platelet count has been 560, 530 and most recently 480.
