pain
can be from other problems and the word
arthritis
merely means inflammation of the joint. Does anyone know of anything that reduces inflammation therefore reducing the pain most people feel? Shouldn't your whole body be considered not just one joint at a time ?

Just wondering if anyone else has also been diagnosed with both conditions ? It took a long time to get both diagnosis and after many years of pain killers and excision surgery for DIE including bowel resection, I’m just about to start biological medication for the AS and was wondering if anyone else

Glove update - GP appointment finally!
He reviewed my MRI scans and confirmed that apart from a bit of
arthritis
in C5 and C6 , which wouldn't account for the
pain
I experienced, there was nothing to see. I think he was about to tell me it was probably PD dystonia, but I beat him to it.

Osteoarthritis and Thyroid
Hi all, I am 31 and have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my feet, knees and hands. It saya online most people who develop it at my age are athletes or have had an injury. Neither of which are true for me. I’m actually just wondering if there could be a link between hypothyroidism and osteoarthritis

Gynaecological / pelvic exam pain ?
I have a gynaecological exam coming up but I also have likely pudendal neuralgia and do have vulvodynia so I’m terrified that this is going to hurt terribly. Are there anyone who is willing to let me know if I should be as fearful of pain as I am? Should I take extra pain medication?

Hydrotherapy and beyond?
I have recently been referred for a series of 4 one to one Hydrotherapy sessions at my NHS hospital. When these finish I can take up a course of six classes targeted at either back/core or hip/knee. I am very grateful for the opportunity and have found the comfort of warm, weight bearing water a revelation

END GAME We may be alone
Now my weight has dropped to around 180 pounds ( I do not know why and if I had any abbs muscle I would look great and all the pants that I threw away would fit now) The biggest problem is still
pain
from a deforming spine and muscle loss and
arthritis
and at least two ill advised operations and injuries

Good Rheumatologist Edinburgh - who’s familiar and good with Seronegative RA/Psoriatic Arthritis?
Hi I’ve had a bad experience at the WGH in Edinburgh previously with one dismissive consultant and now may need to see a new one should I require further treatment (aka biologics). Can anyone recommend any Rheumatologists who don’t solely rely on bloods and scans that are open minded and are familiar
