Pernicious anaemia?
I am a 60 year old male leading a healthy, low stress lifestyle. I have never had any medical conditions (apart from a bout of pancreatitis a couple of years ago) and never been on any medications apart from the occasional pain killer or dose of antibiotics. I exercise and meditate daily. I don't drink

I am new here - Extreme Anxiety over my various health conditions and managing them
I have had Fibromyalgia and Sjogrens for about 11 years now which has been a huge struggle trying to manage these. I was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes not long after this. I also have mobility problems and am on quite a few various painkillers, along with various other medications. This all caused

Adalimumab?
I’ve been reading posts about Adalimumab and I’m a bit confused. It seems to be called a few different names and also seems to be used alongside Methotrexate or something else. I will only be taking it on its own as I can’t take Methotrexate. Is anyone else using it on its own?

GCA, now PMR & Rheumatoid Arthritis as well
Hello everyone, I would be very grateful for your experiences and advice. I saw my rheumatologist last week and she has diagnosed PMR & Rheumatoid arthritis in addition to GCA which I’ve had since July last year. I am currently on 12mg of Pred and have been trying to reduce to 11 which has been difficult

doxycycline and reduction of arthritis symptoms
Though the tablets upset my stomach badly, after week 2 I noticed my
arthritis
had all but disappeared. Usual routine of waking up in
pain
, taking Prednisolone 10mgs then waiting an hour or two for the
pain
to subside has gone.

Told fibro but wasnt
Ive found out recently for sure that my so called fibromyalgia was a lack of estrogen caused first by the menopause, giving me many debiliating symptoms, and then when I had a hysterectomy it suddenly got far far worse, dangerously so. What worries me is that none of the doctors thought about what was

Taper 5.5 to 5 with a little pain. Continue?
I also have the return of the
arthritis
pain
in my hand, which I had before but I understand that the Pred is no longer cushioning that so that's okay. I also have been experiencing fatigue but that's understandable too with the taper. Started on Pred July 2021. Down from 20 mg to 5.5 now.

Which Artritis
😔one of my fingers really swelled up after painting a long fence it was so sore. Then a year later it started in the joint in the top of my thumb near my wrist. UK doctor said arthritis and test was negative for RA. Went abroad just before lockdown and doctor said RA without the R factor? He

Pain - where my pain comes from!
(I had a fraction of inflammation) I said to the specialist one day, why am I in so much
pain
, yet no inflammation in my joints, (common with psoriatic
arthritis
, happens in different joints across the body) this is where the
pain
normally occurs.

Good-bye and thank you all
I have not been on here every week. Sometimes not for several weeks. But then when meds get changed and the cancer changes, I would come back on. Many of the ladies on here were helpful and gracious. They understood things that my friends could not even comprehend bc they were not the ones battling

I should add that Tylenol does help somewhat with foot
pain
so I know some is also
arthritis
and not just PMR in feet. I am sorry to be such "a pain" to you all also and appreciate any advice as always.
