Bruising on arms and legs

Can anyone give me advice on bruising on my legs and arms for no apparent reason. I have rheumatoid arthritis and currently attending hospital for it. Also I’ve just developed sausage toe in my big toe. Badly swollen and all bruised. Many Thanks.

hi some medication makes it easier for us to bruise.

Yes I was thinking that to. I was on biologics for 3 months but they didn’t help. So I stop taking them. I’ve got hospital visit on Monday so I will ask then. Thank You.

Hi catr12 are you on naproxen? They are bad for making you bruise easily

Sometimes anemia will cause random bruising Im currently dealing with this because of psoriatic arthritis.

Do you have psoriasis or family history of them?

I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis two years ago. No history of psoriasis.

Psoriatic Arthritis always come with having psoriasis or a family history of psoriasis so if you don’t have either your probably have Rheumatoid Arthritis and not the combo of both.

Yes I’ve got photos to show them thank you. Also this rash looked at first like a sock rash don’t no if it with the burst blood vessels when my leg or ankles swell up

Is that a bruise or maybe something has been to tight on it...

What do you think it is. Hospital say it could be something I’m allergic to as it flat rash. They seem only interested in how my joints are. I attend rheumatoid clinic. They were happy joints seem okay.

My ankles had fluid in them interspersed with red. Doctor said it was the blood trying to get through the water. I have arthritis and swollen joints too. He didn’t seem concerned though ,just gave me some water tablets and told me to raise my feet high enough for the water to move away. Hope it’s helps

That makes sense as my ankles were swollen at that time. I to am taking water tablets. They help a bit with the swelling. Thank you.
