Newly Diagnosed

Hi I thought I had Fibro many years ago as i have felt like this before in the past..but have now been diagnosed on top of Degenerative disc disease and lower lumbar facet joint arthritis, so whilst awaiting Injection pain relief in my spine due to horrendous sciatic pain, I now have Fibromyalgia to put up with too. I literally go to bed every night with the electric blanket on to ease the pain, just so I can try to get some sleep..! My hubby and son think I'm just moaning all the time, and I wrk self employed with my hubby recently retired just on state pension so I have to drag myself out of bed every single day when when I'm struggling. Iv put in for council tax rebate and sent them evidence of my income in way of tax return,council tax now want profit and loss accounts and last 2 months on ALL bank statements showing income/expenditure for the last 2 months, Incl Ny pensions, stocks and shares we may have. Really?? This is just for council tax rebate?? Then have the cheek to ask why I'm only just applying now,? Its a joke, they make u feel like a criminal? X

Hi there, yes the council needs to know all about your financial in coming and outgoings. Otherwise how would they be able to know if your entitled to council tax rebate or not.

I wouldnt get upset over it,it's standard practise for everyone. There is a lot of people out there falsely claiming benifts they are not entitled to I am afraid. I for one welcome all the checks. I hope your having a better day today.

Sorry too read this and you having too struggle too get up as it sounds as you are the one needing too slow down, sounds like lots of paper work for you and I hope soon it gets done and everything falls into place. It does seem more and more I read with people entering the Country illegally that more checks are being done , yes I understand how it makes you feel but like Dizzy says try not too take it too heart , easy said than done sometimes I know it’s just the way we feel xx
