Mentally draining
I am just so sick of this, of putting up with excruciating pain. When I'm on my period is when I get the pain. It lasted for about 4 days, I passed out the other night as the stabbing pain was so intense. I started with chills and sweats and everything turned blurry, I leaned on the wall and felt my

First ever Park Run
Did my first ever Park Run. I wasn't sure I was going to cope but such a lovely group of people. I go diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 10 years ago and had to give up running. I thought I would give C25K a go early this year and it has been such an enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend

ADT Holiday Unexpected Consequences
I did a two week taper-off from the dex but I believe, and so does my doc, that the dex had been masking my

, as corticosteroids will do. I have felt no hip pain over the last few years. Now I feel like a creaky old land crap when I climb out of bed in the morning.

Neck and Shoulder pain. Bad at night, getting little sleep.
I have neck and shoulder pain which radiates down my arms. The only painkiller I can take is paracetamol as I take warfarin. The GP says it's due to taking Levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid. I've been taking both medications for over 10 years and woder about long term use. The pain is constant

PMR? Rheumatoid Arthritis? Sciatica? What is this?
Was diagnosed with PMR in January, 2020. Put on 20mg Prednisone. Rheumatologist started lowering Prednisone by 1mg per month in February. Didn't do well. Was hospitalizedi in December 2020 with Covid. They took me off Pred. and put me on something else. Doctor put me on 10mg when went for next appointment

orthotics and big toe joint
I am getting orthotics and my feet have RA and also I have osteoarthritis in the joint where my big toe joins my foot. The doctor said he could put a toe splint in under my big toe. Has anyone had anything like this? Thanks.😀

Has anyone got any experience in coming off Tocilizumab to start on Methotrexate?
I have been on Tocilizumab since August 2021 but the funding for this is being withdrawn. I have been off steroids now for over 2 months so without the Toci I have nothing to ward off any flare-up of GCA. Due to being relatively asymptomatic before diagnosis and losing sight in one eye very quickly rheumatology

cirrhosis and arthritis and pain relief
hi, partner is listed for TX and has been experiencing a severe pain in one toe for around 6 months. His GP now says she thinks its either arthritis or gout but she isn't sure what to give him that will be safe for him to take. Paracetamol doesnt help. She has suggested rubbing ibuprofen gel on it

Holding Acalabrutinib for procedures, etc.
Bruising is worsening recently and so is joint
pain
! I have
arthritis
in both hands/thumb joints (as do so many post menopausal women.) I’ve had Cortisone injections in both hands which helped for a while, but those were prior to starting Acala.

Antibiotics ? Urgent request for help which ones are safe to use?
Dermatologist used syringe or something to clean cyst yesterday - have to go back for daily dressings, I'm in a lot of
pain
(already was due to 'normal' musculur
pain
arthritis
/osteoporosis etc) and lack of sleep... Just hoping that I don't need antibiotics and cyst isn't infected..

Mum in extreme pain
My Mum has been suffering with a Prolapse for the past 5 months and it has caused incredible amounts of pain. The pain seems to be easier when she first wakes up in the morning - to the point where she says she is completely resolved. For context, she has been diagnosed with a Stage 2 rectocele and

How do you get taken seriously when 'You look well"
How do you get medical professionals to see that you feel absolutely awful-when you look well? Nothing about me looks as if Im sick and I plod on. But Ive got long term gastritis/IBS/GERD and at present, seem to be stuck in an unending loop of pain and IBS symptoms which vary all the time and have

Painful sciatica
Hi. I have spondylosthesis (bulging disc), L5 area and, having seen a surgeon at the Whittington Hospital, am now on a waiting list for facet joint injections. For the past several months I've had sciatica -- pain down the backs of both legs, worse when it rains (I can tell when it's going to rain) and

Pain above molar teeth that runs across jaw and left side of head.
Hi, I have been suffering from an ache above my top molar teeth on my left hand side. I have had the pain on a few occasions over the last few years which have always cleared up after 5-10 days. My dentist never found a problem but gave me antibiotics a couple of times in case it was a sinus infection

My first post: diagnostic laparoscopy didn't find anything but the horrible pain is still there
Hello, this is my first post here and I apologise for how long it is. I guess I am looking for some hope and advice. I am feeling really upset today because I had another phone call with my new gp who seems not to listen to me. I am forty, I’ve always suffered from bad periods (so did my mum and

Hi all, I’m new to the group even though I have been diagnosed with FM for around 15 years. I’ve come to a point where I’m in pain everyday, tired constantly and suffering from depression. Have to be very selfish in order to look after your own arthritis
I recently went to a family funeral and I didn`t really want to go but I wanted to pay my respects and I didn`t want to make my family look bad by not attending so I thought I needed to show my face which I did. Hardly anyone said hello to me and no one made conversation with me so I was stood there
