PALB2 genetic defect-Lynparza
I have PALB2 genetic defect. Just completed six cycles of Taxotere as part of triple therapy (chemo, Nubeqa and ADT) for about 20 Mets (PSMA scan) mostly skeletal (no organs). Only four Mets still lit up on PSMA scan after four cycles of chemo/Lupron/Nubeqa. Next PSMA scan in Jan. 2024. Oncologist recommends

Durability of Pluvicto treatment?
Just completed Pluvicto treatment #5 of 6 and extremely thankful for the good results. Had a PSMA Pet scan before #5 and it shows that PCa continues to disappear (read from right to left — pre-treatment, after two treatments, and after four treatments). Hoping for pretty much 100% remission after #6

Use hormone therapy or not with Proton therapy
Hi All, Question, doctor is suggesting hormone therapy along with proton therapy (28 treatments of radiation) my gleason score went from 3+3 to 4+3 last year and psa doubled from 10 to 20. I tried to get in to this study to determine the genetics of tumor but they said tumor sample was bad. should

Chronic pain after prostatectomy
My friend had robotic prostatectomy in May 2019. In the almost 5 years since he has experienced daily abdominal pain. He has seen numerous doctors but none of them have been able to diagnose the source of the pain. He is an invalid due to this problem. Does anyone else know of a similar case? Any

TruQap progress-lower TM
I posted about beginning this newly approved FDA drug in December. My blood tests last week showed that my TM dropped by 135 points. This is added to the Fulvestrant jabs I started around spring 2023. The combination seems to be going well so far. I was previously on Ibrance for several years until

Changing the name of cancer...would speed up research
I thought it wasn't something that had an impact, but thanks to the patience of an acquaintance of mine who works in clinical research, I finally understood the significance of what some newspapers (Italian and European, but maybe in the USA as well) are saying about the need to change the names of various

How can one person be so Lucky?

update on sore Nipple!
so did go to see the Dr who agreed my breasts were quite tricky to diagnose due to the amount of scar tissue from previous mammoplasty - initially felt the tenderness was maybe due to simple fibroadinoma but wasn’t certain - so I was fast tracked to Derriford and my appointment is this afternoon. Interestingly

Heavy news today
Hi Everyone, I am feeling really bummed tonight…over the past 5 months I was on Enhertu, I qualified because of the destiny trials. Long story short it was a disaster, not only did I have infection after infection but I ended up with extensive uptake in bone Mets and spread to my liver again (originally

I have a profile in advanced prostate cancer. When I set it up I didn't realize there was more than one prostate cancer network/forum. People in the advanced prostate form suggested I join this one. Cardiac open heart surgery
Hi to all Has anyone with metastatic breast cancer had open heart cardiac surgery and might you share your experience with me please? I only saw my surgeon yesterday and am now scheduled for Monday. How amazing is that but I'm just a bit scared. It's one of those 'be careful what you wish for' situations

News: not about prostate cancer but interesting
CRISPR CAS9 starts to be recognized as something that can really help in many circumstances. It takes a while to shift to a broader view of technology (e.g “I don’t agree, you are playing with DNA” as if pollution, smoking, some food additives etc etc didn’t do the same). This is something that could

Hip pain - related to radiotherapy?
I had chemo/radiotherapy for anal cancer in 2015 and was given the all-clear in 2021. There have been a number of side effects since but 12 weeks ago I developed pain in my right hip at the end of a walk (keen walker). GP doesn't know what the cause is (no surprise there!), but arranged an X-ray, which
