Update: PSA after IMRT
After my 40 treatments, I wanted to get off the bicalutamide I had been on for 2 months. My breasts had not only gotten enlarged but they had also become quite painful, and the Tamoxifen my RO had put me on did not help with this. He then ordered an early PSA test, and when it came back at just .12

Iodine - no thyroid.
I had my thyroid removed in 2003 due to papillary cancer. I have struggled ever since finding the right dosage/supplements. I have just watched Dr Sarah Myhilll's thyroid video for the umpteenth time and have purchased some of her supplements even though some of them contain iodine. Any thoughts

Thank you everybody
Thank you everybody for bearing with me as I poured out my frustrations and anxieties with my current treatment plan over my last several posts, and for all your comments and advice. I called my MO's office this morning and left a voice mail detailing my declining status and the fact that I was done

Hi I am currently on a cycle which involves two sessions at two weeks apart called TETP. So I am having etoposide and paclitaxel then cisplatin and paclitaxel two weeks later. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tight chest and breathlessness when having any of the above. Also I have developed

Radiation Sessions
I am considering proton therapy radiation for my DICS cancer found in the left breast. Six months ago, I had a dissection B - TAVAR for a torn aorta. I am very concerned about the radiation penetrating to heart and lungs. The main concern is if proton therapy radiation is so advanced, why is the standard

RP + Radiation Question
I received biopsy confirmation of my advanced prostate cancer on Aug 29 and PET in September confirmed node positivity. I'm 43yo. No distant metastasis. I am working with a multidisciplinary team (UO, MO, and RO) with Kaiser in Anaheim, CA. Based on an analysis of the PET, the team believed it was unlikely

Next steps after cabazitaxel
Hello again - I've completed six chemo treatments with cabazitaxel alone. PSA has fallen from 83 in early July at the start to 5.1 a couple of weeks ago (after five treatments). I live in Nicosia, Cyprus, and am being treated here but I'm also a Mayo patient of Drs. Kwon and Orme. They have identified

Olaparib hasn’t worked for me . Anyone had this happen and had success with another PARP?
Hi everyone, I’m back of Chemo for 3rd line, this time with Carbo and Caelyx. This is just a year after 1st recurrence, Chemo reduced cancer to nearly NED, 7 months of Olaparib and then CT scan showed new tumour on spleen. CA125 36. Oncologist mentioned later trying another PARP possibly Rucaparib

My son’s Testosterone results:
Last week I posted my son’s three month PSA test and learned that it was the same as last time <0.10 and now I have the matching testosterone results of 7.0. How good or bad is that? I am unfamiliar with testosterone numbers after all the medicines he’s taken, and radiation. I don’t know what the previous
