Durability of Pluvicto treatment?

Just completed Pluvicto treatment #5 of 6 and extremely thankful for the good results. Had a PSMA Pet scan before #5 and it shows that PCa continues to disappear (read from right to left — pre-treatment, after two treatments, and after four treatments). Hoping for pretty much 100% remission after #6 in December. I return to Mayo January 31 for a Choline Pet scan to see if there’s any non-PSMA cancer lurking. My doctor says my response to Pluvicto is in the top 15%. I asked how long I might expect the cancer to stay in remission and he said there’s no way to tell. For some, it comes back within three months, but he’s seen others (who received treatment overseas, before FDA approval) continue for years. Are there any studies that provide more insights? Does anyone have any additional anecdotal experience?

Very nice response! I had about 14 months of undetectable PSA and 26 months between my last Lu treatment and next tx (chemo) I was treated in Germany at generally higher doses than 7.4 GBq and had fewer mets. See tango65 for an even more extraordinary response.

Thanks TeleGuy…sounds like a nice stretch! I looked at tango65 but wasn’t able to see the response you mentioned — am sure that it’s operator error!

I have a feeling that most doctors use foggy crystal balls to make predictions.....So asking them about remission is like asking them if they should cheat on their wife or cheat on their girl friend(s).

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Well said, but would love to see some data if it’s available! I don’t think there’s enough roadway in the rear-view mirror to provide useful insight.
