Extremely tired of chemical castration
I'm interested in chatting with those who have had an orchiectomy, guess thats how you spell it. I'm tired of all the side affects of cancer drugs and all the problems they cause to my body so I'm concidering having an orchiectomy. Yes I know all about what happens when you get this but as far as I'm

Hi All! I was diagnosed in Nov of 2022 with stage 4b lung cancer and later, in May of 2023 with ovarian cancer. Not a metastisis but a second primary cancer. I’ve been a runner my whole life - almost 60 - and have lived a pretty “clean” life. So…all of this was pretty crazy. I had to go off the targeted

Clear Cell Progression
Here is an update on my treatment for ovarian clear cell carcinoma, which I guess has now moved into Stage IV (started 1a). My taxol/carboplatin & Avastin chemotherapy treatment was discontinued after 3 infusions, as CT scan showed progression of tumors, and invasion into my liver. The doctors at UCSF

Carnosine as potential initial PCa treatment
Researchers have discovered that a naturally-occurring molecule could potentially be an effective first line of treatment against prostate cancer. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) scientists investigated the anti-cancer properties of carnosine, which can be produced in the body and is also found

Rising PSA 1 year after RALP
I've been getting ultra sensitive PSA tests every three months. These are the last three scores: 0.015 0.017 0.026 (First PSA test after surgery was <0.1) I am worried. Frightened, actually. Margins were not clear on my surgical biopsy, though gleason was only 3+3. Two biopsies prior

Dana Farber 2nd opinion?
I just got back my PET/CT results from yesterday. Bad! I have never had so much progression. Little spots, some new, some growing from last time, mostly in thoracic and lung area. Apparently, ribociclib (Kisqali) + exemestane didn't work at all. That is the last of the CDK4/6 inhibitors and ER inhibitors

Peeing , what to do?
My husband has had issues with peeing for years ( probably why stage 4 at diagnosis, cause blamed BPH) . He recently finished last chemo 3 weeks ago and is again noticing a change when peeing. Says that he feels a great deal of pressure towards the end of the pee stream and feels like the end of his

vaginal bleeding post bowel motion
Hi all, i appreciate this is a little TMI, but I’ve occasionally been experiencing vaginal bleeding after pooping. It’s definitely vaginal bleeding. I made notes and realised it was happening about twice a month (between periods), but I’ve had an increase in this recently. Not starting a period, and

Mild TI inflammation
Hi, I've just had my third colonoscopy and I found it very painful. I was in agony during various times of it being done. I managed to get a report (some pictures this time too!) On the report they wrote for the procedure discomfort: Mild: More than 2 episodes of discomfort without distress. On my report

immunotherapy for OVCA
just wanted to provide an update on using immunotherapy, in my case Opdivo and Yervoy. Some background: 6 years after my initial diagnosis of OVCA, it was discovered via a raised CA125 and subsequent CT Scan, that I had developed 3 tumors on my Psoas muscle of my back. These were classified as ovarian
