Olaparib induced anaemia and walking probs, anyone?
Hi Wonderwomen, I have been on olaparib for just under 3 months. It depressed my bone marrow production of red blood cells, I became very anaemicand was given 3 blood transfusions last week, taken off olaparib for 14 days and will go back on at 275. Mg per day if my Haemoglobin stays at about 82 by

IFA & PCA blood tests
Hi, I’ve been booked for bloods for intrinsic factor and parietal cells antibodies, the GP said they are antibodies so no need to stop B12 before hand. I’m reading both 48 hours and/or 2 weeks clear of injections, I don’t want to mess these tests up but at the same time am desperate to get the B12.

Unusual results on standard differential -- would love feedback (and, if possible, reassurance?)
Hey, all, yesterday I was a bit shaken by results that were, for me, unusual, coinciding with the most clipped doctor visit ever had, so left full of unanswered questions. My lymphs had gone quite up (okay, that's CLL progressing) and WBD went well up too (okay, CLL progressing) BUT, neutrophils, which

Update on “20 years old and Scared”
Hey guys, roughly 11 months ago I posted in this group worried to death about my unspecified polycythemia diagnosis. You guys provided me with so much support during that time, even though I was a bit shy to respond to comments after a couple of days. Well, I was tested for the JAK2 gene which came back

Absorption of vitamins and Minerals in tablet form
Looking for some advice. I have a 3 monthly B12 injections due to poor absorption. My question is - will l have absorption difficulties with other vitamins or Iron in tablet form? Are these types of tablets ineffective for people like me?

If anyone can help my dad interpret these numbers it might enable him to ask some intelligent questions when GP calls next week. Thanks
Hello again! I’ve asked a lot of questions on here lately and have received some really helpful and sound advice. This time I hope you can help with my dad’s reasonably comprehensive results. His thyroid hormones have been going awry for a couple of years and GP has just been monitoring. He takes no

What is if any, the proper amount of B12 to self inject. 1ml, once a week, 2ml, once a week or 0.5ml every day. Twice a day, 0.3ml, for PA?
This site has been a tremendous help for me! I have been self- injecting 1ml of B12 subcutaneous once a week since, Nov. 8, 2022, there has been improvement. But, sometimes symptoms get worse, numbness in hands and arms, joint pain, tingling etc. All tests point to Pernicious Anemia, D levels, homocysteine

News letter
It seems The Pernicious Anaemua Society are doing a survey. Great I was keen to help. Only if you've got a diagnosis it seems I read on. I rang the helpline for the first tine in over 3 years of being a member to clarify this. I had an answerphone and was called back a few hours later. I explained

Very low serum ferritin result
Hello all , I’ve been backwards and forwards to hospital and doctors for over a tear now with irregular heart beats , balance all over the place , extreme tiredness, et. etc . I’ve had every test you can think off and finally a simple blood test has flagged up very low iron , I’m seeing the doctor Tuesday

Recent Iron test values and next steps
Hi all - I added Iron Bisglycinate (aka Ferrous Bis..., aka "Gentle Iron") 25 mg several months ago. I started with daily and soon switched to alternate days. I happily reported my RLS was significantly improved. Today I received lab results for iron. Here is a comparison of last year vs. today

Latest antibody count post 4th vaccine
Will I be needing more booster vaccines? I received the latest results from the LLS study and I was not pleased with the results. After a bout with covid at the start of the year and receiving my 4th Moderna vaccine my antibody test came back >2500 Needless to say I was happy with those results. Five

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia treatment with B12 injections and oral folate
In the category of "not helpful but interesting", I am sharing this paper decribing a research project which treated patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia with B12 injections and oral folate. One interesting facet is that dose of B12 and folate is based on symptoms as reflected in clinician

Query about B12 and Folate blood test result
Hi I wonder if anyone here can help. I've looked online and can find no answers. I need B12 injections periodically and my blood test results have always given me a number on the axis graph to show if within range or out of range. My mother just recently had a load of blood tests and when the B12 and

Weighloss?
Just checking to see if others are experiencing a small albeit constant weight loss on Ropinerol? I also take Topamax for chronic migraine. Have been taken both for just over a year now and have lost all appetite. Nearly 4 stones in weight during this year, and I do eat some very naughty food like everyone

Hello As always, a huge thank you for all of your help to date! I’ve recently had an iron panel and could really do with some help understanding the iron results. I really don’t know what these mean and I’m confused by the over/ low and what this all suggests?? I don’t supplement at the moment as wanted
