Hi happy New Year to you all. I was diagnosed with severe COPD 6 years ago age 61 , I never really had any symptoms at that time or for 4 years after that. However 2 years ago I moved from a London suburb to the east of England and my symptoms have materialised very quickly. It can be quite frightening

Asthma flare up any advice?
I went back and forth to GP tried multiple
antihistamines
and was prescribed 5 day steroids, they helped the hives but not the wheezing. Since then the wheezing has been coming and going. Last Friday I got a sudden blocked nose and have come down with some kind of respiratory illness!

Coughing again ...
Hi all - I posted here in early December after a trip to India set my asthma off because of the dreadful pollution. I saw a fabulous doctor who threw everything at me - nebulizer, antibiotics, steroids, Omeprazole, cough medicine and an antihistamine - which calmed it all down. He did say he couldn't

Tip about antihistamines
I looked it up and
antihistamines
(Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl, et al) can lead to weight gain. Both water retention and fat. How so fat? I can testify Claritin causes intense carb craving which I indulged enough to gain about 7-8 pounds in fairly short order.

Antihistamine and probiotics
Has anyone experience of using
antihistamines
or probiotic supplements? It’s frustrating having two illnesses that are poorly understood - I seldom tell people about the rls- though when it’s bad it is even worse than the (very debilitating) effects of the long covid.

Does 7.5 mg Mirtrazapine work on anxiety?
I am wondering if 7.5 mg Mirtrazapine does anything for anxiety. Someone mentioned at that dose its really just an antihistamine. I have been on the 7.5 mg and for the most part the anxiety has been under control so thinking of going off as it was just to get my stomach going again and then think about

Histamine query
When I've tried
Antihistamines
, they don't have any effect. I live in Spain so it's a 24/7 problem for me and I'm just trying to see if there's anything I can do other than cover myself in chemicals every day (and night 😭).

Leflunomide question
Antihistamines
don’t help. Probiotics either. Has anyone come across this.? Wonder why it would start now.? I will say I am sleeping better with this med than with all others.

Antihistamines?
I've got early recurrent miscarriage issues, still not looked at my immune system (it's next on my list if this transfer ends the same way, or fails) but I wondered if anyone took
antihistamines
at all before and after transfer?

Problem with antihistamines
I have glaucoma and the treatment causes me to have dry eyes that have resulted in damaged corneas. I am prescribed Carmellose 1% eye drops. I was also prescribed Fexofenadine tablets for my allergies but decided to stop taking them as watery eyes helped to reduce the dryness. However, given the pollen

Sharing my recent journey with Parkinson's-induced insomnia
Next, my GP prescribed various sleeping pills, but some of them worsened my symptoms (they contained
antihistamines
) while others could only be used for a few weeks maximum.
