Anyone with experience of Oral Allergy Syndrome?
I couldn't stop taking
antihistamines
for skin prick tests so they did them through ige/blood tests. Pity, as that reduces the testing scope and result predictability. It seems I do have a strong reaction to a couple of nut types, advice is to avoid them.

Weather
I do not know if it is co-incidence but since the weather has become hot my peak flow has dropped and I am having to use my inhalers more, I do suffer with hay fever although my antihistamine tablet does seem to be controlling that side of things nicely. I was wondering if anyone else has found that

Beeing referred questions please!
I'm confident they would do allergy tests (he is milk intolerant and takes daily
antihistamines
for airborne allergies. we are very very confident about him being allergic to cats but haven't had any tests for anything for definite) but I'm worried about them focussing mainly on his allergies rather

Bad breathing today... anxiety has crept up!
Hi everyone, I have been managing really well with my anxiety for the last few weeks, in fact I pretty much felt rid of it apart from my breathing problems - but even that for the last 5/6 days have been really manageable and almost gone. However for no apparent reason today is bad again, my breathing

Does any one else get this?
Hi all, Generally doing O.K. over here. I have been having a bit of trouble the last few weeks, but have seemed to have some luck with taking more antihistamine, but am a bit sleepy. When I have asthma trouble, I get a really tight chest, all of a sudden, and even if I take my inhaler it can take

Rituximab,Toxilizumab, and the Scleroderma Conference in Texas!
Hello everyone! It has been a while since my last blog, all my best intentions went out of the window with a downhill turn in health.I remember reading some questions about Rituximab and thought I'd let you know my situation. Very briefly: I have diffuse systemic sclerosis, severe lung fibrosis

bee stings
I have been stung five times and the initial swelling went down but have returned 5 days later and has swollen up worse, red, itchy and very puffy.I have taken
antihistamines
but am wondering if my antibodies have gone into overdrive in the same way as they do after a virus etc.

Giving up, putting up
I'm taking
antihistamines
, which don't seem to be helping either. So I'm starting to just think, sod it, I'll just put up with it, maybe like my mental health I'll just have to live with the crap it gives me. *sulks*

New to asthma and the boards and would like to know, is anyone else rattling?!
Especially at the moment - the increased pollen count means I'm on
antihistamines
and decongestants as well as Seretide, Ventalin and other fun things. (I also have familial hypercholesterolaemia so take a statin). Honestly, if I jump up and down I rattle...

Hayfever / Asthma in young child/ new to asthma
I went back numerous times and now he has a preventer in the summer with daily
antihistamines
. Today for the first time since last year,Ive had to give him his blue reliever. He sounded raspy and his chest was tight so I gave it to him and the raspyiness disappeared almost instantly.

Pharmacy - why do they...?
Ask questions about medication when you collect a prescription? Just wondering as mine never have before but yesterday they asked me how often I took my antihistamine, did I take my preventer everyday, how often did I take my reliever and I wasn't sure why they were asking. Also there wasn't anyone else

Any treatments for cholinergic urticaria?
The
antihistamines
(Loratidine / Ranitidine) have a moderate reductive effect on the itching, but nothing else has any effect. I am open to trying anything!

Rant about hayfever
So much as I'm really glad that the sun is shining again, my hayfever has been bad for the last week - 10 days even though the pollen forecast says the count is low. I'm taking fexofenadine and nasonex on top of my inhalers and have been since the beginning of March. Yet if I go outside/open any windows
