New person, trying to understand my issue
Hello, After seeing doctor in September following a period of tiredness, 'moderate' depression, anxiety and sore thumbs, I had a doctors blood test (after being prescribed
antidepressants
that I didn't take).

Adding a second antidepressant
Does anyone know if you add a additional antidepressant, like abilify or something how long would it take to start feeling better? Would it be a full month if you currently already on a antidepressant?

Last chance with medication.
Every type of antidepressant seems to make me feel worse but I feel I need something to help me. I am now taking mirtizapine for the second time round and am feeling awful after taking two tablets. I feel this is my last chance with medication. Can anyone tell me that it will get better because at

How much damage has Omeprazole and Doxycycline done to me?
Can't take any
antidepressants
cos they are ALL a risk to my ocular problem and could cause glaucoma (the doctors did not believe me even though Out of hours Doctor told me to stop them - apparently they could not see my notes from there as were "private"?? Which I think is a lie).

SSRI experiences
I know if you feel a lot better within a day or two that this is largely probably a placebo effect, but I have read that
antidepressants
can actually start to kick inside of a week in some cases.

ADHD & OCD
Because I was diagnosed with adhd in 9th grade and symptoms of ocd didn't start until after I was diagnosed with adhd and put on
antidepressants
. And it also seemed like the ocd like symptoms started after I was put on adderall but got exacerbated after they took me off the adderall. Any advice?

Opinions on anti depressants
I am very afraid to try
antidepressants
but I know it's time. I think the anxiety has caused the insomnia and it's time to take my life back. I'm looking at Lexapro and wanted to see if anyone takes it and how it's been. My sister takes Paxil and lives it, but the weight gain scares me.

How to deal mentally with diagnosis?
We’ve been to the GP and they placed her on
antidepressants
which caused various side effects including lack of appetite which mum can’t afford (she’s very small naturally and the cancer team are worried of weight loss). She asked for diazepam which she has but that doesn’t fix the problem.

First post! Any advice on improving self esteem/bouncing back from drowning in depressive thoughts?
I started
antidepressants
about 4 weeks ago, and I know it takes around 6-8 weeks for them to take full effect. My anxiety is significantly lowered but I can’t shake these feelings that I am unworthy. Any advice on how to pull myself out of this pool of negativity?

Sudden drop in libido and sexual function (male) in late 30s
The only time that I experienced something similar was when I was on
antidepressants
a few years ago, but I have not been on these during the last 3+ years. Sperm volume seems to have reduced and become more watery.

Need dizziness advice on meds
I've avoided taking
antidepressants
as I had a bad experience with Zoloft (it made me feel dizzy and sick). Dizziness/vertigo is one of my anxiety triggers and of course that's a common side effect with
antidepressants

The effects of coming off anti-depressants, anyone gone through this?
I was put on
antidepressants
(citalopram/cimpramil 20mg) when I was around 18 for anxiety and OCD and continued on them for over 10 years! I recently decided, that I was ready to come off. I first reduced my dose by half for around 3/4 months and then by a quarter for a few weeks.

Bipolar
But I had side effects of 2 different medications for it, so I was taken off of it and have been off of them for the last 10 years and instead have been taking
antidepressants
. And I've always had pretty bad obsessiveness/obsessions that has controlled me so I thought I just had really bad OCD.

Week 8, run 1 and happy
Well, I know I said I would have two rest days instead of one from now on. But then the weather was so nice today and I felt strong and confident, so I gave it a go and ran for 28 minutes! So pleased with myself! When there were only five minutes left, I was afraid that Laura would say something about

Anyone tried Turmeric?
Hi, first time post, call me Moo if you like. I’m peri menopausal and suffering severe effects of low Oestrogen (anxiety, depression, insomnia) thankfully my HRT is now starting to help raise my levels and I should be feeling better.... except that now I’ve had constant T for 4 weeks! Googled like mad
