How do you switch to NDT
My doctor won’t prescribe it for me and just tries throwing
antidepressants
at me every time I see him.I’ve been on levo for a good 18 years and only rarely have I felt well 🤔 I’m now on HRT as well after arguing I wasn’t depressed and my symptoms feel hormonal.

My latest test results, advice urgently needed
Struggling with severe depression, (
antidepressants
seem to be ineffective), extremely dry skin, dry hair, hair loss, tiredness, achy joints, cold hands and feet. On most days I feel like I'm 80 and about to die.

I hate wrapping presents
Just popped my antidepressant for the night. Standing at the counter wrapping presents and I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I've had it alot lately. I have no idea why. Well maybe a small one. I continue to think about the fact that I retire from the navy in two years, will be 40 in two

3 weeks into my antidepressants
Starting to feel moments of detachment from the environment around me. Also moments during the day when I feel weak and nervous and a bit shaky. My doctor thinks its a magnesium deficiency but I think it's a side effect from either my ADs or blood pressure tablets. Or both. On a positive note my anxiety

New depression sufferer here
I have increased my
antidepressants
and have seen a therapist on Monday. I start a new job next week and I’m scared I’ll never be happy or be loved as I’ve never felt loved. Depression is the worse thing.

Where do I go from here?
I have been given HRT patches and
antidepressants
to treat my peri menopause/ anxiety which I have not taken as I believe this is not the case…. After extensive research I keep coming back to pituitary/ adrenal issues (hypopituitarism) central hypothyroidism (pituitary) and Cushing’s.

Antidepressants for IBS
I have been given sertraline to take as my anxiety has become much worse since starting to have IBS symptoms. Has anyone tried these do they help without making IBS worse. I've only taken a small dose and seems to have triggered diarrhoea 🙄

Depression
I have moderate HF and have had a couple of procedures that have not improved things. Together with coping with the pandemic and losing more than a dozen close friends during the last two years (not COVID related) I fear I am suffering from depression. I am on Entresto etc. with no obvious side effects

Will coming off fluoxetine stop RLS?
If anyone on this forum has experience of coming off
antidepressants
and getting improvement in RLS that would give me hope to try again.

Blood test
Lovely nurse phoned me yesterday, following up on
antidepressants
. I told her the GP wanted me to drop from 12 to 10, and then to 8 after a couple of weeks, but I was going to keep to 11 for a while at least.

Does Levodopa cause your brain to produce less of "its own" dopamine?
Does anyone know if there is research on this topic? Does taking C/L actually discourage the brain from producing its own dopamine because it's being fed dopamine from an external source? I just wondered if this question had ever been explored because the human body is lazy. For example, if you

Use of Antidepressants/SSRI’s during fertility treatment
Hello, I was just curious as to whether other people have taken
antidepressants
or SSRI’s during fertility treatment. I have a long standing history of anxiety and depression and came off my medication about a year and a half ago in preparation for fertility treatment.

Really struggling
Mental health has been deteriorating the last few months and I'm in the process of switching
antidepressants
from Escitalopram to Venlafaxine. Feeling completely horrendous, in complete and utter despair.

New Here, 1 year after being diagnosed with viral encephalitis
One year after being hospitalized for 50 days, then another 6 weeks in rehab, being misdiagnosed with Covid for the first 5 days, I am recovering. Had to learn how to walk again, went from wheelchair, to walker to cane. My biggest problem is I get emotional at the craziest things. I cry easily when
