My Cataract Surgery (Laser) is in 2 weeks
Just wondering from those who have had cataract surgery and taking aspirin and blood thinners, were you told to stop these prior to surgery. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Resting HR increase after ablation, but why?
So I had AF 2019-21, ablation 6 months ago, AF gone (touch wood) RHR was 60 now 70. I know this is expected but what causes it? I’ve been on Edoxaban blood thinners, rhythm control Flecainide and calcium channel blocker Verapamil since ablation - I was on none of these before ablation. My understanding

Has anybody with low TSH and not converting a T4 actually increased their T4?
According to Patient Access my TSH has been exceedingly low for 20 years apart from a little blip when it came into range about 2003/4. My doctor used to do full bloods and because T3 and T4 were okay he wasn’t worried but other docs who only do TSH (in fact testing centres only do TSH, insisted I

Levo and anticoagulants
I have Hashimoto disease which I have had since 18 years of age. I do not take any medication for it as my thyroid function test is normal. However I am due to have thyroidectomy soon and wondered whether the medication I am prescribed for the replacement of thyroid will upset my anticoagulant medication

Shivering 4 days post ablation
Well it’s day 4, don’t know if this is normal, I can’t stop feeling cold and shivery, I feel cold anyway because of blood thinners but my body is sensitive and I feel so cold. Had a slight irregular HB this morning so trying hard not to be disappointed yet. Does colchicine make you cold by any chance

Emergency spinal surgery 3 days from starting the car t trial at Dana Farber.
So my brother Bob was 3 days from a Car T trial when the pain became excruciating under his ribs and chest. The pain started three weeks previously but would come and go so he was taking OxyContin to get get a bit of relief. Unfortunately, over a period of two days his walking started to get bizzare

Bosh… STROKE on the trolly and before i know it left arm and leg weakened but more worrying is LEFT HEMIANOPIA , a 50% loss of vision. Eyes surgeon and neurologist

Anticoagulants and diabetes drugs send a significant amount of adults ages 65 and older to the emergency room each year.
According to Cotliar, many older adults take
anticoagulants
to prevent blood clots and strokes, but the medications come with a risk of bleeding and complications. Kaiser said that many of the ER visits were related to the need to adjust the patient’s doses of
anticoagulants

Can any heart meds cause sneezing bouts/rhinitis. Can you use steroid nose spray &/or any any histamines on heart meds?
Have been on bisoprolol, ACE inhibitor, blood thinner, anti platelets, diruretic for 5/6 months post STEMI followed by constant AFib with successful cardio version 2/3 months ago. Now only short infrequent fleeting AFib. Last 3 weeks episodes of sneezing and blocked nose. Not like a cold and I’ve not
