Possible Clot on Prosthetic Valve
Hello all, I had a replacement aortic valve in 2017 and all seemed well until about 2/3 weeks after having the Covid booster in October 2021. Each night when I put my head on the pillow I would hear a pounding in my ears and neck and my heart would be beating "forcefully" making it difficult to sleep

Hi everyone, Thought I'd run this past you and update my status. It's been a rough few days. I felt so bad that I had to cancel plans for my oldest son's birthday this weekend. I just didn't have the energy to do anything! I ended up having to go back to 15 mg. I was doing ok and by Thursday it was

Also on extra progesterone this time so on lubion injections once a day as well as the pessaries 3 times a day. Taking oestrogen 4 times a day also

D-dimmer test
My right calf looked swollen and was a bit red. My GP suspected a blood clot so gave me a D-Dimer blood test which was negative. I couldn’t have blood thinners because I have an ascending aortic aneurysm. The negative result suggested it’s not a blood clot but GP did not give me an idea what might be

Additional meds from my GP?
Hi Everyone, First to say I am pleased to have just about survived the first Mothering Sunday since my wife Sue's death. Not only the Mum of our lovely 3 kids, but she 'mothered me' too, and I miss it - (as our youngest kindly commented on my Fbook "You were her biggest challenge Dad!!). Also pleased

Using Fleicanide?
However, after being admitted into hospital for another condition which required surgery the hospital stopped previous medications and I was put onto
anticoagulants
(first Riveroxaban and later Apixaban) which caused severe gut bleeding. and candersartan (2 mg once a day) for reducing high blood pressure

Lactoferrin and anticoagulants
I would like to take it as well, but I cannot find information on interactions between Lactoferrin and
anticoagulants
. Has any fellow sufferer taken it? Does anybody know about any research on the subject?

PALPITATIONS OR AF ?
Does ANYONE know how you can tell the difference…? I often get palps and or irregular heartbeat…whenever I can’t tolerate thyroid hormone or when adrenals are playing up etc etc. Usually rights itself again when adrenals settle and back on any reasonable dose or t4 ..for example. Just lately however

Second ablation
I can not take
anticoagulants
so I have had Watchman device, pacemaker, and a first ablation. It was very successful for several years. I am considering a "touch up" ablation as I would like to get rid of the propafenone, but I havent made that decision.

So afraid
My partner possibly has AF. He’s 58, fit, normal guy. He has had high blood pressure for the past 8 years & takes ramapril which has never really brought the BP down to a normal level. Through a medical some years ago it was discovered that he had an abnormal T wave but not signs of anything else & no

13 days post op 😁
Hi all, So I'm now 13 days post full hysterectomy and removal of endo and apart from a sore buttock I'm feeling the best I've felt in a long time 🥳 I cant believe what a difference it's made, I'm still taking the odd paracetamol and blood thinners (only 2wks left of them!) but apart from that I'm off

Aspirin and Anticoagulant
Had been taking Aspirin for 18 years got taken off and put on Edoxaban due to episode of AF. Cardiologist ( due to heart disease) is adding back the aspirin along side the Edoxaban. When googled it doesn’t make very good reading. Is anyone else on similar.

Sticky Blood and Covid
Hi I had positive antibody tests for two out of the three causing APS and was told by a rheumatologist in Newcastle I had sticky blood. I was going to be given treatment but unfortunately I had to return to live here in South London and the rheumatologists wouldn’t support the diagnosis even though

Should i have been put on blood thinners?
Hi, Ct scan in Sept stated moderate amount of coronary calcification noted in LAD artery. Angiogram in November found moderate to severe calcification in LAD plus not so severe in other arteries.
