Disappointing
I am disappointed that there is a block on Chrissie55's email re. "the Thing that we can't mention". I also appear to have had a reaction to It over nine months ago now and although I have had echocardiograms and a heart monitor I am still waiting for some sort of result as to what has happened to

Getting an MPN specialist as advised by Hunter and experience of GasLighting
Firstly, thank you to Hunter for all the support he has given me and always telling me I need an MPN specialist. I now report I have done this and am very pleased. I live in Northern Ireland and could not find an MPN specialist here. I therefore decided to email Professor Claire Harrison at Guys Hospital

appendicitis&PAF&Rivaroxiban
Hello everyone, I decided to share my experience of acute appendicitis. The pain was out of the blue while swimming but I managed to finish my swimming session and drove back home feeling bad. At home had strong low abdominal pain and fever up 39. Wait about 7 hours and decided to call surgery. They

Diagnosed with osteoporosis after 9 years on warfarin
I was originally diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, but probably had it for 5 or more years before that. After an aortic valve replacement in 2013 with the On-X valve, I was prescribed warfarin. Studies link warfarin to osteoporosis, In Oct. 2021, I started on Orgovyx. I recently had a Vit. D serum

Any recent experiences of AIHA developing in progressive CLL - particularly in those treated with or awaiting Venetoclax treatment?
High dose corticosteroid, folic acid
anticoagulants
prescribed. Back next week to assess blood changes. Of course, having got the Venetoclax on board before the great haemolytic anaemia reveal, I got to hang around the waiting room for 6 hours anyway for obs and evening bloods. Result!

Another positive beta-2 glycoprotein but numbers have dropped since last test is this normal?
just had my 4th positive beta 2 glycoprotein test. Went in to see the rheumatologist and he said well thats good its dropped from the last test (but its still not in normal range) so no action required because I've never had a blood clot. He has never once asked me what are my symptoms and surely

Think I'm just starting out... Heart Inflammation/Myocarditis
Hi all, I've replied to a couple of posts so far but not actually written one myself. I'm not usually one for writing spiels but I'm wondering if it might be cathartic for me, and maybe someone can offer more insight, or get some from this. This seems to be a lovely, supporting space from what I've

Is Warfarin/blood-thinner given by GPs (in UK) for suspected Pulmonary Hypertension - or does it require Hospital scanning first?
My situation is, a recent Echocardiogram stated I have "intermediate probability of Pulmonary Hypertension". I had this scan done because I have persistent high systolic-BP (which averages in the 140-150 range). I don't really have any troublesome symptoms other than this high-BP. And the rest of

confused about AF
Back in July 2021 I was out running and I triggered an apparent AF and stayed like that til September. Then in September I had a successful cardioversion and since then I have been fine (apart from quite bad cardio anxiety) My question is this, I have read and been told the AF is a progressive and

New symptoms and unsure what to do next. Any advice appreciated.
Hi everyone, This seems a really informative and supportive forum … so wondering if you have any advice please ? A couple of weeks ago I woke up with what seemed liked really bad indigestion or trapped gas. The pain seemed much worse if I tried to lie down, particularly on my left side, but no other

Bruising Changes
I am on Ibrance and Anastrozole. I have been doing more outdoor yard work and getting a lot of bruises. This is nothing new for me but the typical purple / blue colors I would get in the past are now a reddish color. . It reminds me of family members on blood thinners. Does anyone else see this change

Update
There isn't even a bruise, and as I'm on
anticoagulants
, I do bruise easily. Very impressed, and I told her so! Now I have to wait a week until my phone consultation next Tuesday morning.

Hey fellow liver sufferers and carers. I hope life is manageable for you all! Basically I have Cirrhosis that decompensated liver nearly 2 years ago. Symptoms were jaundice, ascites ,sarcopenia, HE but got through this near death experience. I am now compensated. I went to the Royal Free last year

Clopidigrel and GI bleeds
Anyone experience GI bleeds while using clopidogrel after coronary artery stunting. This is my third hospitalization for bleeding after having 2 stents put in 7 months ago. The common wisdom is to be on Clop. for a year after stunting but after many tests, scopes etc all signs are pointing to my systems
