I am on Ibrance and Anastrozole. I have been doing more outdoor yard work and getting a lot of bruises. This is nothing new for me but the typical purple / blue colors I would get in the past are now a reddish color. . It reminds me of family members on blood thinners. Does anyone else see this change? Perhaps it’s due to lower white blood cell count.

Bruising Changes

Probably more likely due to low platelets. My blood counts improved when the dr reduced my dosage from 125 to 100. I’ve been on Ibrance for more than 4 ½ years. Around year 3, I was not recovering the blood counts on the week off. The lower dose worked.
It’s great you’ve been on Ibrance for 4 1/2 years- have you had any side effects - they’re starting me on .75- I am very nervous about Ibrance- sounds like it’s really working well for you
The longer you are on the Ibrance & aromatase inhibitor, the more likely side effects happen. Some of them are weird like when a bunch of had one vibrating toe when the pill changed from capsules to solid pill. That one went away. So glad to have this group confirm it was a thing and I wasn’t nuts!
This combo has not stopped me from doing anything I like, though I do get a little fatigued at times. I am using this regimen for maintenance because I am in remission from endometrial cancer (a form which acts more like mbc).
Ihave been on ibrance and letrozole for 3 years. I get those spots all the time. Don’t have to bump things very hard.
