Eye laser surgery with antocoagulants
I checked online and nowhere it says that you can't do the laser surgery on
anticoagulants
, so I am positive, fingers crossed I am right 🤞

Who else
ok so I have suffered with AF for about 5 years if that is the correct term. I tend to have more symptomatic events during the night. If I have an event around 3am it will tend to keep me awake and last a couple of hours. The problems it causes me is when I would normally get up for work between 6/6.30

I've made a big decision!
I also hope to get off the
anticoagulants
as they are playing havoc with my nosebleeds and anaemia is another risk factor for afib!

anyone on any ssri’s / sertraline as well as a blood thinner? Support needed please
due to the heart issues I have I’m very limited to any anxiety medication I can have. The cardiologist has said sertraline is probably the safest. The pharmacist questioned it when I collected it due to a possible interaction with the blood thinner riveroxaban. Unfortunately I’ve googled it and now anxiety

anyone here on the blood thinner riveroxaban and also taking sertraline?
I’m on the heart site’s so am on riveroxaban but also have generalised anxiety which has been quite bad at times. Counselling has had only limited effects. So my cardiologist has put me on sertraline. I’m limited on which anti anxiety medication I can have due to heart/arrhythmia issues. I’ve looked

Angiogram and anticoagulants
I have to have an angiogram to determine whether I have angina or something like costachondritis. Will I need to stop taking Apixaban beforehand given that there is a risk of internal bleeding from the procedure? Is the procedure painful or uncomfortable?

I am confused! Ectopic beats v Atrial fibrilation?
My husband's GP felt his pulse and said he had Atrial Fibrilation and must go on blood thinners. He didn't suggest an ecg or any further tests. Surely this is rather highhanded? It could be just "ectopics"?

Enzalutamide
Having come off a course of Docetaxel with Predislerone after seven sessions I am recommended to take Enzalutamide daily. MY PSA dropped considerably until the last session of Chemo and I'm perhaps experiencing delayed clearing of the drugs as after a CT SCan with contrast I have had unusual side effects

blood clot in appendage.
Thank you to all who responded regarding sleep apnea.very helpful. Next query. Hubby had a failed ablation in May. Six hours in the lab. Sedation did not work at all. Waited 12 weeks for next attempt under general anaesthetic. Procedure did not go ahead due to a clot in his "appendage". Looked

Tight chest ~ waiting for angiogram
Hi everyone. I went into A&E last weekend with chest tightness and some breathing difficulty, along with some other symptoms. They were brilliant, kept me in for a couple of days, lots of ECGs, a chest X-ray and contrast CT to rule out a PE, which was clear. Long story short, ECG shows some ischemic

Can Bradycardia trigger AF? and Bisoprolol !
3 weeks ago I started to get long runs of AF after being AF free for 6 years after Ablation. After almost constant runs of AF and Ectopics for 2 weeks, it settled for a few days, but has come back now 3 days. But what's happening is I have a slow heart rate, its averaging between 50 - 60. I have

Dealing with pain.
I wonder if anybody has resorted to occasionally taking ibuprofen once in a while for pain when already taking an anticoagulant. I was so desperate the other day I thought I would try just two tables mid morning and wow what a difference it made to me. Trouble is I worried all the rest of the day that

Flying with afib
I have persistent afib and am waiting for an ablation which should happen in October. I am on blood thinners but can't tolerate any other medication. I'm a 70 years old female in good health apart from the afib. It has been an awful year and I suddenly have a chance to go to Greece with friends.

I have A-fib and my cardiologist put me on Xarelto blood thinner.
Hi all ,what side effects can I expect on Xarelto? I live an active life style, I walk 3km daily and tend to our garden and like to swim. Are any of you experiencing fatigue or tiredness as to not be able to carry out any of these activities on these medications?

Bleeding nose on oxygen
My wife is using her oxygen more and more and was suffering from a very runny nose and recently a bleeding nose. Nothing major, but constant and probably not helped by blood thinners. Is this something that others have experienced and is there a solution?

Rivaraxiban (update)
Hello, I have decided to share the answer I received from hospital after my appendicitis operation. It might be good to know: ‘Our current guidance for patients taking Rivaroxaban very much depends on the setting of the surgery, either being minor or major surgery and elective or emergency surgery. If
