Concerned. Is this just bad luck??
Took 20 days of
antibiotics
to clear it( they had to change the antibiotic half way through) . Then at the beginning of December I had that terrible virus which turned into a bad chest infection. So had
antibiotics
and steroids.

Should I treat subclinical hypothyroidism
So whilst I have not taken any drugs in my life (perhaps
antibiotics
when I was a kid) and resist taking any going forward, this particular situation really drives me towards treatment. My endocrinologist (private and GP) suggested to have a trial to see how it goes.

Finally managed it
After a bad chest infection (2 weeks of
antibiotics
and steroids) I have been feeling very weak, shaky and short of breath, it doesn't seem a lot taking my rubbish out but the thought of going down a flight of stairs and along the walkway to the chute filled me with dread.

Maybe a sheep dip or biohazard fumigation chambers would do the trick 😂
Well, saw my GP again today as absolutely no better, certain symptoms leaning towards either new infection or the original not totally responding to the last
antibiotics
so getting a different one. Lungs now have air entry but crackling at the bases no results in the X-ray as yet.

Reactions to Antibiotics and unable to treat UTI/Prostatitis
The
antibiotics
work extremely well, I feel "well" when I take them, aside from the nerve pain. Is it best to wait for more healing before treating the infection? It's a very difficult situation but I have to do something.

CLL and CGD
It says a lifetime of
antibiotics
and antifungal are necessary. My questions are, does anybody here have CGD and CLL? Are there extra considerations that need to be taken with drugs because of CLL? Does anyone know if CGD can be dormant and then surface?

Not sure whether to call the doctors as last time (during lockdown) i was prescribed
antibiotics
for an infection - obviously a telephone appointment and these didn't help either. Just wondering if anyone else suffers with this? Hope you're all doing ok these January!

afib related to drop in blood pressure
last week I had an extreme drop in blood pressure 87/50 and was unable to stand up or even sit up. Was taken to the hospital. Diagnosed with pneumonia and told that infection can sometimes cause drop in blood pressure particularly because of my a fib. It seems that because the lungs are so closely

Severe Cold, to Bronchitis; PMR has not returned
Felt like a viral infection and my GP agreed and no
antibiotics
given. I was concerned that all of this would trigger a return of PMR, but so far (it’s been 2 weeks since end of this infection) with no symptoms. Just 2 weeks from being 6 months off Pred., and my fingers are 🤞🏻.

Increase Prednisone?
Rough week... I got as low as 12.5 because of Rheummy pressure...had splitting headache and eye pain which I posted earlier...he said he didn't think it was from GCA...I am pretty much ignoring him now, just need him to keep refilling my prednisone. Anyway, I went back up to 15 mg, and got slightly

unexplained lower abdomen infection, increase Prednisone?
I am being kept in due to the unexplained original symptoms, and on
antibiotics
via a Cannula (Saturday evening, and 3 doses so far today) I’m still feeling awful and nauseous. Negative Covid.

Son battled through again.
Antibiotics
and continual fluids flushing in and out of a large three way catheter followed. Our strong son showed his strength again and beat the odds - Drs have been so pleased and were surprised how quickly he responded to treatment.

Jaw Pain
Initially I thought it was related to an on ear infection but this has now cleared up after 3 lots of
antibiotics
. However I still have a very stiff and painful lower jaw. Could this be PMR related? I don't have any pain in my temple or any other symptoms so not GCA)
