Methane Overgrowth
I am yet to speak to the GP regarding the results but I have a strong feeling he won't be prescribing me the
antibiotics
.. everytime I have mentioned SIBO to him he has dismissed it. Quote: 'it's just IBS'

Detection of a bacterial infection: Procalcitonin test
How to figure out if
antibiotics
should be considered ? There is a blood test measuring levels of Procalcitonin: if it is below 0.1 ng/mL, a bacterial infection is very unlikely, so
antibiotics
would be of no help.

Oral steroids
In both
antibiotics
and steroids they have nearly cleared me but not 100% so I'm asking is this normal and is it safe to be taking steroids 3 weeks after my last dose finished? My dose is 6 tablets a day for 10 days. I would appreciate any advice and help Jason

A tunnelling ulcer in Sweet's syndrome after chemotherapy
- Initially misdiagnosed as infection, but didn't respond to
antibiotics
. - Skin rash developed into crater-like ulcer and abscess. The ulcer was a sinus tract ulcer or tunnelling ulcer. Normally, Sweet's syndrome doesn't affect the tissues below the dermal skin layer.

Feeling a little low
Admitted back a Day later with an infection and on IV
antibiotics
for 5 days and more scans all ok apart from extensive internal bruising. Sent home with
antibiotics
and hoped that would be it for hospital.

Elevated NK cells, UTI , antibiotics and steroid
Then I got diagnosed with UTI by my GP and I did a course of
antibiotics
. The clinic came back to me with the results and I had levated NK cells as well as Ureaplasma in the uterine lining. I'm doing a second round of
antibiotics
(doxycycline) to treat Ureaplasma.

Finally some progress
Doctors kept saying it was due to the
antibiotics
that had been used. And it would get better. I will say in January 2020, a CT done of her Chest/Abd showed a normal liver, and her LFTs were normal except for AST which was raised due to the pneumonia.

Covid and the NHS
I called the docs to inform them what I had been told, within an hour the doc telephoned me and prescribed
antibiotics
which he telephoned through to my local chemist so I could pick them up within the hour.

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) For PD And Much Much More
Subsequently, this woman had a trauma to her scalp which required the use of
antibiotics
. The
antibiotics
resulted in a worsening of disease symptoms and loss of the symptom relief that had been obtained from the FMT.

Questions about experience with rinvoq
Have had to stop rinvoq a few times lately due to infections, this last time I stopped rinvoq for ear infection for 5 days. The infection has not cleared up so they're giving me another antibiotic for 10 days. I was just wondering if most people have a flare when stopping rinvoq for that length of

Palpitations at night
I've had 24 hour heart monitor and
antibiotics
but the doctor says my heart isn't irregular so couldn't be anything wrong there. During the day I've also been occasionally getting headaches, sharp pain in left side of chest and teeth pain.
