Does this sound like osteoarthritis - or something else?
Hi everyone, I wonder if I can please get some help. I’ve been experiencing widespread body pain for c.3 years. I initially put this down to the menopause and earlier this year I started to focus on my under active thyroid - I’m not yet optimally medicated for that (takes a while). In May I decided

Looking for my Miracle
I've had persistent AFib for decades. Cardiologist and EP suggested ablation, watchman, every pill and treatment out there but I never felt they were the right thing to do, other than taking many meds, Altace, Toprol XL, Amiodarone, etc. Most recently I had to go onto Xarelto, 'tho I resisted it for

Good morning everyone - sunny chilly day here in Devon - uplifting after all the grey and rain! So it’s now 7 weeks since I started Pred at 15mg and after return from golf holiday in Spain which went very well and was in no pain at all - so after 3 weeks cut to 12.5 which also settled well and body

Diagnosed DIE of rectum/bladder/ovaries/POD
Hi, 24 and just been diagnosed with DIE of the recum (5cm from opening) and large endo adhesions on uterus, bowel, bladder and ovaries and obliterated pouch of douglas. I haven't seen a consultant yet for surgery options - just wondering if anyone had similar diagnoses and what they went through? I

ASD Closure Questions
Hi All I’m 41 and have been diagnosed with an ASD and right heart dilation. On Tuesday I experienced the joy that was the TOE procedure 😂 and I’m awaiting to hear whether I am a candidate for the groin/catheter device closure or the keyhole surgery. I’d love to ask a couple of questions - How

Hello fellow sufferers! I was diagnosed PMR in February after 5 months and started 15mg Pred. Now down to 6mg but struggling. Broke my arm in June, put house on market (sale still going through), stepdaughters mental health reached very low point and just had surgery in unbroken arm. Went down from 7

Follow up x-ray pneumonia
Hi everyone. I rang my surgery today to see if my follow up chest x-ray results were in. I had possible pneumonia diagnosed 4 weeks ago, apparently the 'possible' meant that the mass on my x-ray was tiny, anyway the surgery said my results were in and I had to make a telephone consultation appointment

Newly Diagnosed
Hello every one, I've had a terrible 3 or 4 months. My sister was diagnosed with lung cancer in August and unfortunately died in September aged 61.I was heartbroken and was suffering with a very hoarse voice. My doctor sent me for an xray which showed a shadow on my lung. I have since had a pet scan

Good Morning everyone, just trying to understand to make sure it isn’t just me. But has anyone suffered with depression and PTSD after series heart surgery, because I have and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone, although I do at times feel depressed, I was 17 when I had surgery. And just now wanted advice

My nose bleed story!
Hi All, I promised to post a quick update so I’m doing that now. I had four nose bleeds in five days. They just came out of nowhere but weren’t too dramatic just a drip each second. The last one worried me before my surgery appointment was due because it lasted for 20 hours and just wouldn’t stop.

Impaired Right Ventricular function – experiences please
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with a large hole in my heart last December, at which point my right heart was stretched out of shape. It was a massive shock as I had no symptoms. The doctor who gave me the diagnosis said that once I had the hole closed, hopefully the heart would return to normal. Fast
