OTD is here and w got our BFP! I know ita still so early but I cannot believe we were so lucky!
Bitter side of the story, I woke up with a nasty ear infection. I’ve just left my GP surgery as I’ve been prescribed amoxicillin 3 times a day for 5 days, saying that it’s safe to take during pregnancy, but then told me to decide on my own if I really want to take it or not 🤦♀️
Any experience that could help me to decide would be much appreciated

I’d pop to the pharmacy and ask a pharmacist! I’m a pharmacy assistant and I’m sure it’s safe in pregnancy but I’d double check with a pharmacist they’ll be able to maybe provide an alternative you can tell the drs to switch too if not.
congratulations that’s great news 💐🙌🏼🤗 there’s a virus going about that seems to affect ears/cause ear infection and my son is on amoxicillin and it’s getting better but my sister had the same and didn’t take anything and her ear drum burst and it was very painful (and is now on amoxicillin anyways) so if the doctor said it was safe I would defo take it an ear infection getting worse could be very painful 🤗
Congratulations! Wonderful news! Your immune system is weaker now so I'd take the antibiotic. You don't want to be going through any major infection with the little one on board. I had to take a different antibiotic for a different infection whilst pregnant and it was all fine. There are lots of antibiotics that are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Good luck!
