New to Prostate issues. What are my options?
I’m 63 years old, in general good health. I’ve been experiencing symptoms for maybe 5 years, gradually getting worse. - Waking in the night to pee, 2 to 3 times. - Hesitance - Weak stream, stop start.. Thankfully no blood or pain. So I finally went to the GP & had an examination 😳, GP said

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Here’s the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since I’ve been a strong responder

Rising PSA with little shown on PSMA PET
Greetings all. I've been on this forum for years. I've only commented a handful of times, and never made a post. I prefer to usually just read from the sidelines. First of all, a bit about my path thus far. I was diagnosed in May 2010 (age 49) (PSA 4.7 and Gleason 7), had radical surgery in July 2010

what is the risk from ALA?
What is this community’s take on ALA, as found in flaxseed oil? Is there risk for prostate cancer? If there is “risk”, is that solely an association with increased PSA? i.e. do significant amounts of flaxseed oil cause a change only in one’s baseline PSA? i.e. does it promote the [i]

Lower Platelet count after HDR Brachytherapy
I am 76 and have had a low platelet count for at least the past 30 years. My results had usually been in the 125,000 range, with 140,000 to 150,000 being the minimum value to be considered normal. I had HD Brachytherapy for prostate cancer in November 2021, and ever since then my platelet count has

Hello - I'm about to return to the Mayo for the first review since my previous visit last November. As I've reported here, my last major treatment was chemo with cabazitaxel at the Oncology Center in Nicosia, Cyprus, where I live. This was successful: PSA fell from 83 at the start of chemo to about 3

Some good news to start the day: Complete Response in First Patient Ever Treated with 2 Doses of Cu-67 SAR-bisPSMA at 8GBq...6 months
I have already written about this, but then he approached the 6 months mark, so... "The patient remains with undetectable levels of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) for almost 6 months, following the administration of the second dose of 67Cu-SAR-bisPSMA. PSA is a marker used to assess clinical response

So the odds we all read about... are they true?
When my husband (age 52) was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer two and a half years ago, he was told the outlook was "grim." Everything we read told us once it moves to the bone (his has) then you're looking at months, not years, of life left. He had TEMPUS done, which was basically the oncologist

Anyone out there try the carnivore diet.
I have been on a low carb diet since my diagnosis back in March of 2023 . Eligard and Erleada have got my PSA down from 195 down to 0.01. I have been watching a lot of YouTube video's touting the health benefits of a carnivore diet. So far the only prostate diet person posting video's on YouTube that

Before I leave this wonderful group I'd like to pick your individual/collective brains. Since it's too late to help my husband, I'm looking for info that I can pass on to my son and 6 grandsons so they might better understand this awful cancer should they ever get it. I'm also providing a bit more info

"8mm sclerotic focus noted T12 vertebrae within left superior acetabulum"
MO ordered CT Abdomen/pelvis after having a couple blood clots in urine, no blood, about 4 mths ago with several quick sharp pains in bladder area daily since about that time (may be from straining to empty bladder when urinate or kegels). CT no issues noted other than the 8mm sclerotic focus in T12
