Binged for first time in ages since restricting
I have atypical
Anorexia
and have been restricting my diet for quite some time and whilst my family say I look too thin my weight is ok for my BMI and I just don’t think I look thin. I want to be slimmer, but I can’t seem to shift the weight despite hours at the gym and two small meals a day.

Hi all, I don’t feel like I have
anorexia
, but my family worried when I was younger that I had it. I don’t think I did then either if I’m honest, they just worried. But I am currently going through a very hard time emotionally and this has impacted every part of my life.

Minimum BMI for surgery?
My question is that I’m currently very underweight (due to currently suffering with
anorexia
) with a BMI of 15.7 and wondering what would be the minimum BMI needed to get the operation ? I know they won’t touch me at the moment as I wouldn’t heal but I need a goal to reach for motivation !! TIA !

Underweight and trying to gain weight to get my period back // bloating
I am seeing a doctor and dietician about gaining weight but honestly they aren’t very nice and I know they’re trying to help me but they keep threatening me with an
anorexia
clinic and they think I’m anorexic.

Just given up.
My health history is
Anorexia
for over 15 years, in hospital many, many times. A very rare long term chronic liver condition which requires me to take Blood thinners, which in turn causes me to have an enlarged spleen.

Fut2 gene mutations
She did have severe
anorexia
10 years ago and fully recovered. The genetic test found no methylation issues, but when she took sublingual B12(methyl and hydroxo) she became agitated and had insomnia. Her energy and breathing improved though. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Cortisol Stress Profile results interpretation help please
Said specialist (a Professor of 35 years experience) thinks that my rapid weight loss and over-training in 2018 essentially resulted in a state of internal nutritional starvation (in his opinion, much like that caused by
anorexia
) and this is likely the cause of my bradycardia, among other symptoms.

Clexane in pregnancy
I am 25, with BMI in the 30's at the moment (health BP and low cholesterol), I also have an extremely mild case of lymphoedema in my right leg which developed while I was suffering from
Anorexia
10 years ago. No varicose veins, doppler test showed good blood flow in the limb.

Influence of gut microbiome on brain function
This is a little off-topic, but this paper links a whole lot of auotimmune diseases +
anorexia
to changes in the intestinal microbiome and the brain. This might give some clues to posters here who have similar problems. MINI REVIEW ARTICLE Front.

Entering Another Phase
It is normally used for cancer patients,
anorexia
patients, AIDS patients who cannot eat... you get the idea. I have no idea if it’s going to be successful as I just started it yesterday. We shall see...

Binge eating disorder/food addiction/obesity
I've phoned up about inpatient care to a few clinics and again, they mostly treat
anorexia
and bulimia. So do treat binge eating disorder, but it's far and few.

Atypical Anorexia? (OFSED)
I’ve been googling my symptoms and i’m pretty sure I have atypical
anorexia
(which apparently is the key symptoms of
anorexia
just at an average or high weight). I feel like i’m too big (size 12) to be considered “ill”, but some days the thought of even eating an apple makes me so anxious.

Weight gain in Anorexia Recovery
I am 17 and being treated for
anorexia
. For my height and age, I have restored enough weight to be just on the verge of ‘healthy’ and my bmi is around 17 (getting weighed tomorrow). I never really looked ‘anorexic’ (the only person who thought I did was my friend who also has an ED).

Handling Emotional Pain Part 2
I believe that self harm,
anorexia
nervosa, depression, PTSD and certain other mental states are due to problematic movement and postural states in the fascia. I believe that research into development of ways of moving could reduce some of the issues of various mental conditions.

Thyroid hyper to hypo in 2 months, no medication...
I should perhaps add here that I have very recently struggled with
anorexia
. The recent sudden weight gain is especially worrying for me and am worried it will trigger my eating disorder behaviours and over exercising. If anyone has any thoughts/suggestions I would be really grateful.

How can I stop the cycle with only self-discipline? (TW)
I was in a heavy period of
anorexia
until early February 2017 and got down to 115 lbs, BMI 19. After spending 2018 miserably trying to recover on my own and instead binging and then purging (exercise at first, but as Thanksgiving to just yesterday I have focused on vomiting more).
