Fut2 gene mutations

Has anyone here heard of this gene mutation? My 27 year old daughter did a genetic health profile and was found to have mutations on the FUT2 gene, which controls prebiotic and probiotic levels in the gut and can affect absorption of B12. She definitely has symptoms of B12/folate deficiency, but IF and MMA came back normal. She will soon be having a blood draw to test serum B12 and folate. Blood draw 7 years ago showed B12 level of 257 pg/ml. MCH and MCV are high normal presently and her white blood cell count is slightly below normal range. She did have severe anorexia 10 years ago and fully recovered. The genetic test found no methylation issues, but when she took sublingual B12(methyl and hydroxo) she became agitated and had insomnia. Her energy and breathing improved though. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Almost everybody has a mutation in the FUT2 gene. I have at least five.

Some mutations might have a minor effect on B12. Nobody is sure how.
