Mildly dilated aortic root
I'm not particularly worried about it for now, although I am glad they caught it, but do wonder whether it's likely to turn into an aortic
aneurysm
.

Which option?
This March he had cerebral angiogram and they found the blood was leaking back into
aneurysm
. 4 options.....leave and mra in 3 months, recoil and stent, craniotomy and clipping or put a tube right across the opening and cut the leak completely. He is 19 and has been asked to make the decision himself

APS, "on the job" training!
Anything that I may share, is coming from a person (and loving wife) that has lived through-a ruptured cerebral
aneurysm
, two strokes (one of each side of my brain), epilepsy (caused by the neurological damage caused by
aneurysm
), two blood-clotting disorders, and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Thank you Ria - our circle is now compete!
I had an
aneurysm
in the brain which had ruptured and was now bleeding around the brain causing a stroke. I spent a month in Addenbrooke's hospital , with two weeks in Critical Care Unit after a 8 hour operation. As I was alone if Ria hadn't come to me I probably would have not made it.

If you have time Please read my rhyme
clear Different symptoms with every day Aches and pains that don't go away Chest pain, arm ache, a heart attack Quickly followed by pain in my back So off to the Drs I go in haste He thinks I'm there his time to waste He takes a look and says I would advise A trip to the hospital would be wise An

Appointment with thoracic surgeon today re: aneurysm vertebral artery
Today I have an appointment with my thoracic surgeon to discuss the
aneurysm
found on the vertebral artery. I have to go for imaging later in the week. I am hoping that it has not enlarged.

He had a ruptured Dissecting PICA
Aneurysm
which was on an artery supplying his brain stem. This could not be coiled or clipped as it would cause major stroke. Luckily Sheffield has one of the 4 surgeons in the UK able to perform bypass ops.

Anxiety problems through the roof, meds don't help or counseling what else is there?
My biggest fascination is that I'm dying of some sort of
aneurysm
I've been to the hospital so many times the doctors have told me I have no risk factors for that. :( but it's still on my mind. It's very depressing.

AVM/Aneurysm/Brain Injury in General
That emotional, and physical damage, or maybe the tumours and blood vessel disorders themselves that might cause them; they are pure evil, they are horrors that needs to be destroyed. When there is injury, or fear, you have to fight it. You can't reason with whatever it is that's happened to you, and

16 days in hospital still wondering what is wrong.
So next day, after a scuffle where I appeared to have developed an
aneurysm
post procedure and was scampered off with haste for a scan which proved unfounded, (have a painful 12 inch by 6in bruise across my abdomen but otherwise no ill effects from the angio procedure) I was discharged with plumbing
